  1. I have many watches in my watch box but more often than not I take out one of my IWCs and wear it. I just like the size, weight, feel on the wrist and easy to read time. I have been looking at some IWC Mark XVIII pictures and like the white face version. Has anyone bought one of these and have any opinion on it? Usil
  2. Started out with Casios way back in college. Never changed the battery. Just threw it away and got a new model as they came out with new stuff frequently. Now, no way I would ware a Casio. Like Nanuq said - no soul. Had my replicas for a long time and frequently change them. How do I decide in the morning? When I look into my watch box - one of them calls to me. Usil
  3. I had a recent request to sell my 2008, Pam 187 with a bracelet. Not sure if they make a big enough bracelet for the 187 any more but I remember getting one back in 2008 I think from Ebay. When I got the bracelet it was no where near as nice as the standard PAM bracelet (clasp was a POS) and I did not use it. But I realized it did have the one thing I needed to make it work with the much better standard PAM bracelet and that was the end links and the link next to it. These, when put on a standard PAM bracelet made a perfect 'Good' PAM bracelet as the two links allowed the bracelet to expand forward naturally to fit the 187 and decrease in size backward to fit perfectly the good bracelet. The result was a nice looking 187 that fit perfectly on the wrist and had a good heft to it. (I was looking to make a one pound watch). Still wear it today but mostly in the Summer months. Usil
  4. A couple of my faves I still wear. Usil
  5. I have been checking out what's new lately. Boring winter. Have to say that what I have seen does not seem as exciting as years ago offerings. Is it me or do I just need to review a few more posts? Hey - looks like there are a few of us in this thread a few days apart (from 7 years ago) from each other joining the forum. Usil
  6. This is amazing as he is not a trained watch maker. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2329082/At-oak-time--Carpenter-carves-functioning-watches-entirely-wood.html Usil
  7. Why is it when I click on these links it takes me to the general home page instead of the watch page itself? Usil
  8. Maybe the site has been hacked. Usil
  9. You will have a nice house, a cook, a house keeper and a driver. Might have some benefits. And if it is an Expat assignment it won't last for ever. Usil
  10. I like it. Great job as I know how much time and energy went into that. Thanks. Usil
  11. I am torn between the red and the grey. Both are outstanding. Usil
