  1. I have had a BCE graphite for about 18 months now and about 6 months ago I noticed when screwing in the crown it took less than 1 turn of the crown to screw down tight. Then gradually it was less than a 1/4 turn and now it won't screw in at all. frusty.gif .

The thing is the watch keeps great time and also looks great so I don't want to write it off or spend the money on a whole new one.

I am hoping somebody can tell me if this is a common problem or more importantly if it can be fixed. If it can be fixed do I need to order parts or is this a mechanism that comes in standard sizes than can be fixed by a local repairer.

Hoping somebody can help me as my wrist is currently looking very sad without my BCE on it sad.gif

    Thanks Guys

I'm facing the exact same problem guys! Can anyone provide help as to what i should do given that i've never tampered with my watch??? Would a professional repairer be in position to fix this problem?

  2. So I've decided to pull the trigger on my first rep and decided on a graphite BCE from Trusty.  I know there are "newer" reps ie. the b01 , but I  really like the styling of the BCE.  Pics to come!

Very good choice johnnyboy_k! I own mine (BCE graphite) for 6 years, i wear it almost every day, has never been serviced and it runs as smooth as the first day ;) ....And above all it's so stylish it always captures the looks!!

  3. It's very spooky .... The title of this thread is what I say to myself every morning when I wake up.....

    Coincidence ?!?!?! I think not !!!!

    :)

:good: :good: Nice one..! True...It can't be a coincidence :nono:  :g:

I'm good at Marketing!!!! I tried to promote this thread as good as possible :)

Does anyone though have a clue as to why this happens??

  4. Hello guys!

I have a question which i think for some of you should be an easy task to answer :) .

I am totally blinded by the beauty of the Navitimer that our fellow Hansmeier has purchased

from puretime - btw i would like to wish Hansmeier to wear it in health and enjoy it ;) - and i'm

definitely planning to get one very soon! But my concern right now is whether i should buy the

white dialed one with black subdials which is a high beat model (28800 bph as it is written on the site)

even though it is not a model officially released by Breitling (fantasy model is called??), OR whether i

should stick to the other two models with the low beat A7750 (21600 bph)??

Why does the white dial one has a high beat movement while the other two the low beat??? I'm totally

baffled here and if anyone can answer these questions please feel free to respond! I definitely don't

understand why the white dial one is "endowed" with a high beat mvmt while the other one not ....

  6. Guys in my opinion Hublot didin't exactly have in mind the $250+ watch range we own...Let me give an example of what i mean: 3 weeks ago i've been in a large excebition about home constructions (nothing relevant till now :D ) and inside the main area there were 2 kiosks of rep watches of all brands estimated each at 20euros ($28 if i'm not mistaken) :o They were so cheaply made, that they would give you the impression that they were made of recycled tins :yuk: Lots of people stopped to take a peek and some of them would buy not only one but more than two or three of them! Although i own a rep BCE i felt embarrased watching such poorly made counterfeits and i left right away. So this is what Hublot is afraid of and takes into consideration... And now something funny, imagine what would happen if Hublot or anyone else calculated the loss in their profits taking into account the rep watches that are sold and belong to our price range...They would simply  blow up

  7. 4. EU/UK dealers Narikaa and Homer

You just forgot to mention Precious Time aka PT who's one of the most trusted and high quality dealers! My purchase from him was a sheer delight in terms of communication and delivery ;) I would definitely recommend him prince458 especially within EU!

My take on the question is pretty easy. I do not buy a replica I can't see first. and by "see" I'm referring to holding it in my hand and/or trying it on to see how it looks and to see the quality.

I have been buying and selling replicas for about 10 years on and off and one I've come to realize is they are not all the same. I have connection in New York city that I've had very good luck with. It's worth the 3 hour + drive to see him as it allows me to see everything in person before I buy it. I have supplied many of my friends with replica watches and I wouldn't be happy if something I sold them broke in a week. So purchasing from an online source is really not an option.

Furthermore, the online sources I've seen are way over priced.

So if i got the point you want to meet the dealer?? I don't know if what you ask is something easy.... But bear in mind that with most of our trusted dealers you don't have to see them in person to pick up a GREAT watch...They know their job and what they send over your place is exactly what you have in mind! I think that's the way transactions are made! Correct me if i'm wrong...You don't always have the chance to meet the dealer and in my opinion sometimes you don't need to if you trust him :)

  8. Hi Col,

Well, actually im doing business right now with Precious Time... that should save me some problems... I already contacted Tony so im waiting for the answer...regardind the "silent policy" ... thanks for the advice.. i wont contact them in any way..ill just assume the watch is forever lost...

Very much appreciated all your support!

    Cheers guys,

    Alex

With PT you cannot fail ;) Great dealer indeed especially within EU...Trust him!

  9. I was going to open a thread regarding the watch, but I arrived later... ;-)

Anyway, the issue is that Lincoln never opened his watch to know about the movement... It could have been an ETA Copy!!! :p

At the end of the day Dillon should have known that in general people don't open their own watches (unless the belong to RWG), so he should have engraved on the case back "Shh look inside for secret message" -_-

    Ken

:rofl::rofl: Enough with laughing...I will blow up! It reminds me of Da Vinci code :o
