  1. I was looking through DSN's PhotoBucket, the past couple of days, planning on making my next purchase, when I came across his "Blue Dial" version of the PAM 089 GMT (click link to see pic of dial). I wanted one.

Well, David let me know the bad news - no more blue dial, only "grey anth dial ... pl study if ok". Needless to say, I'm disappointed.

Have any members been lucky enough to own one of these? If you still have one, how about uploading some pics, please? Let me dream at least ;)

I got the blue dial one, it has stopped recently and I have to get it repaired, other than this it's a nice watch.

  2. The following text was inserted after i bid on an item in an Ebay auction, and I'm not quite sure what it means. Any help would be greatly appreciated since the google translation is jibberish...

"Die Bilder zeigen die Uhr, die hier zum Verkauf steht, wird von Privat, wie abgebildet verkauft.

Der Käufer verzichtet auf sein EU-Garantierecht bei gebrauchten Waren. Keine Rücknahme oder Umtausch. Ich garantiere die Richtigkeit sowie die oben gemachten Angaben zum Zustand und Technik der Uhr."

The pictures are showing the watch that is for sale, it will be sold privately as pictured (the German santence is not German either).

The buyer gives up his right given by to EU liability law for used items. No redemption or exchange. I guarantee for the accurateness and the above made statements concerning state and specs of the watch.

    Cheers,

  3. It should be no surprise that it took a Glasgow resident (Kelvin) to discover absolute zero!

Will be supporting Australia, unsurprisingly! And, yes, anyone playing England. Not into petty nationalism as a rule - perfectly at home with being European, but somehow the English football and rugby teams are always a step too far. When Northern Ireland beat England, I'll be honest, it felt good :D It's a not-so-guilty pleasure....schadenfreude a la Seaman, Beckham, Pearce & Co....

Kelvin- Borne in Northern Ireland, died in Scotland, I think nowadays he'd share your football predilections.

  4. Psda... funny.. u know some shipments that come from Asia get checked, others do not. I had ordered two watches from Paul (Espire) and they always came through. Once I got a free watch from the US, but that was stopped, so I told them to send it back. HEy psda, have you ordered from Homer or precious time? I'm thinking of getting the 188 black 7753 from of them eventually... wondering if orders from them got through to Austria without any problems...

With Precious Time I had no problem.

  5. Up to now Austrian customs have opened all of my parcels (except those of PT), in one case they let me send the bill to them, in another case they let me pay some minor amount of money and in the last case (Davidsen from Hong Kong) the parcel was checked but customs was zero. I guess they looked at the PVD PAM as some inexpensive fashion watch. Bottom line: In this country every suspect mail, especially if it's from Asia is being checked.

  6. Yes, and enjoy the additional thrill of customs issues for free.

On the way fro and to. No thanks not my kind of fun....

    Hi SWATCHman,

thanks, please pm me how to reach that guy, German is not a problem- I've been speaking it for a big part of my life. The Zigmeister was also my first thought but I was worried about customs. EUR 140 nevertheless is roughly what the watch cost me.

    Cheers,

    psda
