Hallo!
IN ENGLISH:
Hi!
Is here anyone from Austria who has experience with getting watches sent to Austria from Trusty with "EMS Courier shipped"? I'm afraid of the customs.
Anyone here who can help me giving tipps or an advice for getting the watch secure to Austria?
Thank you very much!!!
Hi,
the last watch I got from him (to Vienna), a Seamaster PO was brought by the EMS courier and I had to pay EUR 9.- for duties. For the first one which was sent by regular mail the customs office in Hohenems required a copy of the pp payment which I sent them and they made me pay EUR 19.
So up to now all watches passed customs without bigger problems. If you want to get my advise in German please pm me.
Cheers,
psda

I have to agree...sorry, but that does not look good at all. Was that replacement off of ebay? If it is please let us know, so we don't get one from that seller.
Sorry!
Yeah, I bought it as an OEM from the above linked dealer: http://search.stores.ebay.com/X-Jewelry-Ce...9346291QQsofpZ0
Ok, but maybe the watch is off and the dealer's bezel was ok. The watch was from 22hour.com, maybe of Russian provenance (the parcel came from Riga) and this site looks good but I paid my dues there, big time.
If the bezel had an outer diameter of 38 mm it would fit perfectly.

I just wanted you to know that I ordered the bezel, it arrived and I was able to glue it in. It was a tad smaller than the first one, but what can I do. Thx to you all for your help. Forgive the quality of the pic.
Cheers,

By the way: Pierre Curie died exactly one hundred years ago, on April 19. He discovered the piezoelectric effect that is still being used in quartz watches.

Grüß euch! Hello!
Nice to be here. I'm interested in watches as others are in cars.
Hi Esteban,
servus from Vienna.
-
yes, ref number 3707 003
How to spot fake:
1. @6 - "Swiss * Made" on gen, while "T Swiss * Made" T on rep.
2. Serial number: 2732649
3. No luminous marker on gen.
4. The clasp should look like this on a gen:
That's a nice example on how to lose money fast. Look also at the the position of the "N" of SCHAFFHAUSEN and the dots between the numbers and the bars on the dial.

Thanks for the IWC magazine pic. I am sure that I would have to pick up a MK XVI if I saw it in person. Somehow though, it does not seem to fit in the line of the legendary Mark watches. The rectangular TYPE 48 Mark hands are the finishing touch to all the Mark series. The arrow/sword hands are cool, but they are very Sinn style, not IWC style. I do welcome the larger size of the MK XVI though.

If you or somebody else want the whole magazine I could make it available to you, maybe I scan it and put it on a server? The other watches portrayed are the new: Big Pilot, Spitfire Chronograph, Pilot's Double Chronograph, Pilot's Watch Special Ed Saint Exupéry, the Spitfires, Portuguese Chrono- Automatic Edition Laureus, Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, Portuguese Tourbillon Mystère, Portuguese Minute Repeater, Portuguese Chrono Automatic, the new black ceramic cases, Aquatimer "Calypso". And interviews with Jean Alesi and Cate Blanchett.
I tried to scan the page instead of posting a foto but that exceeded the space limit.

I was in Schaffhausen two weeks ago and took the latest IWC magazine with me. I'll attach you a copy of the page with the new Pilot's Watches incl. the Mark XVI. To my untrained eyes the watches don't look bad at all.

Question: Did you hit something under water, like a rock or whatever causing the fall off or was it some kind of pressure result or generally, water made it fall off?
Thanks,
Floris
No, I was just swimming to see if the watch is water- proof. Obviously it was the water that made the bezel fall off. It was only fixed with an adhesive tape. Every 2-component epoxy adhesive would have lasted centuries longer than I'm able to swim.

You can try here.

Thanks,
but- what is the difference between a full and a mid bezel? The watch has a diameter of 40 mm. So, even in the gens the bezel is only glued to the ring?
Please apologize my ignorance.

Try talking The Zigmeister or By-Tor. They will know what to do!
Thanks a lot.

I've bought a Omega SMP from a now defunct dealer (22hours). After a water immersion test (I went swimming to a lake nearby) the watch was still ok but the bezel was gone. Can anybody please tell me where I coud get a spare one.
Thanks

Hi,
I got the same problem with my IWC (Asian 7750, too).
-
Sorry to say...either send it to The Zigmeister, bring it to a local watchsmith (bad idea) or ask Jay at PT what to do.
I would opt for contacting Precious Time and ask them for a replacement. If you just got it, there is cleary a problem that your dealer should take care of for you.
Good luck and sorry to hear about your problem.
Thx, I've already emailed him, I'll post what's going on.

Congratulations. GSTs are cool.
But be sure to check your 12 hr subdial - I see that it is not correctly resetted - you may have a problem with a plastic brake that keeps it at 12 while the chrono is off.
This is right, it keeps going even if the crono is off- what can I do?

I've recently received my IWC GST TI from PT.
Communication was easy, watch was delivered within a few days to Central Europe, quality of watch is very good (looks like gen, Valjoux 7750 copy, no lume).
I can only recommend precious time.
Cheers

I recently bought an IWC GST TI from him. Fast communication, delivery (to Austria) in 3 working days. I can only recommend PT. Price was ok, too.
