Just a question out of curiosity: I had a look at the test results and the bottom line was 20sec/day in average. I was just wondering if this movement would be serviced - let

This is a great pdf, thank you!

Interesting, pizza.... So the inner ring is lumed on the Slevin but not the CD?
Yes, interesting... I

There is a very nice Breguet Titanium Chrono. I was always wondering why this watch does not get much attention...

Somehow I do not like the rehaut though...

Oh yes, the bracelet revitalised this one. It's the version we were waiting for all along.

Pug, I'd be interested in knowing how much attention this watch is getting from you after having it a few months? Has the appeal worn off slightly, or is it still a fave?
Good question...

Two different versions - two different factories!? It seems so. I

The major difference between the Swiss & (most) Asian versions is the fit & finish of the parts/assembly. I have seen at least 3 different versions of the 28.8k bph version of the A7750 & 1 of them (in a secs at 6 Daytona) appeared to have been manufactured to near Swiss standards. Not exactly the same, but surprisingly close. The finish quality of the parts was, to my eye, the equal of the ETA & it had a similar feel as well. But most of the Asian 7750s are built to less stringent tolerances, which is something you can feel.

I like Longines too but in the case of the Hydro Conquest I was surprised that there is a rep as the gen is not that expensive. You can get a pre owned chrono for around 1500 US$ and without chrono it costs less than half of that amount. Even some reps cost more! They should make a good rep version of the Lindbergh Hour Angle IMO.

I like that clasp. The Slevin should have something similar too...

This oldschool VC Overseas is one of the watches which surely should be on the "best of all times reps" list IMHO... Simply beautiful, great details and even the best pictures do not do justice for the dial. Some might say it looks boring but I

Thanks for the stories! I really enjoy this thread but I have to admit that mostly I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about as I never played poker before. Anyway I

If you look at the dial and the case of the Patek Nautilus (front view), you will realize that this watch was designed after the face of a Teletubbie.

There is no limit to stupidity.

This watch reminds me of the UN 1846 Marine Chrono... There is no rep for that either...

I may be even tempted if it stays at this price... but it's an Omega 8 days movement Cal.59-8D.
There are affordable watches from Eberhard and Epos which have 8 days power reserve after winding. IWC has such a modell too. And of course there is the new Lange 31 days power reserve... Interesting movements...

My watch just stopped. It has a 7750 movement which I can still wind but it does not work. Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Every time I try to access http://www.timeshops.net I get the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Am I the only one?
What could be wrong?
You are not the only one... it does not work for me neither.

That is one of the single most unattractive watches I've ever seen. This size/complication thing is literally getting out of hand.
I fully agree with you! I mean if someone likes it, well, go for it but it is surely not my taste. On the other hand it

I just hate paypal. They're so full of BS and I don't trust a thing they say. They will never help you unless they also benefit.
