  1. Yes, just bad timing on the posts.. I'm happy to report that the bezel is back on, clicking like it was, and aligned properly now! Thanks again.
  2. Here is a picture of my watch. This should give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Notice how I just sort of layed that long circular metal piece in there? It doesn't make it all the way around the watch, but I figured the "gap" should be at the bezel clicker thingy. I guess? Grrr.. I still have to ge the bracelet resized! EDIT: Okay, now I am on the right track! Thanks P4GTR!!! And everyone else!
  3. Thanks porsche, I think I figured that out by myself, but wanted to be certain! There is a long metal piece (looks like the thing in By-Tor's review of SMP Bond Modification Guide on RepGeek) that is here also. It's bent like 15
  4. Development: Playing with it some more, the insert just partially came off. This is interesting because the whole reason for taking the bezel off was to remove this insert and re-align it. So I pulled the rest of the insert out. Pryed the bezel off from the inside to get it going, then pryed from the outside and it popped off! Great, but there's this really small object between 7 and 8 o clock. It's like a hole where a small piece of metal goes, and there's a spring that goes with it. luckily I did not lose these two very tiny pieces when I got the bezel off. Anyone know what they are for? Possibly the reason the bezel was so hard to pull off? I am also not sure how to get it back together now... This is the smallest spring I have ever seen.
  5. So after scratching the [censored] out of my new watch, how do you remove the bezel? It's a black SMP. My nails hurt pretty bad and I don't want to use any more metel objects. What's the trick here?
  6. I have this feeling that when the two reps I ordered arrive, I am going to be very tempted into buying a gen. I just think it's a waste of money! Oh, the horror..
  7. This is insane. makes me want to just start buying good replicas and selling them as gen. Seems to work. I'm not really surprised how uneducated the consumers are, but should they have to be this alert? In a world with such exquisite replicas, I guess you have to be... I wish someone would report that seller? I found the page but it's in Polish or Swedish or something. EDIT: From the auction page: "i can garantee that this is authentic!" Priceless. Looks like he does sell other gens though.. which seems odd.
  8. so dumb that there are 4 different good replica watch forums out there.. all of which have at least a 50% share in the user base with each other, maybe more. I know they would never be consolidated, but it is rather annoying. :/
  9. I guess what I'm really asking is am I an idiot for buying a replica that isn't even a replica? I don't think anyone will spot it, but I love the look of it.
  10. I've been reading reviews, looking at watches etc. this past week. I don't own a rep or gen watch yet, but I'm considering buying one. The two I like most is the Rolex Sea Dweller and the Omega Seamaster Pro. I don't really want to get the rolex simply because of the name. People are just going to know it's a fake. But that's not really what this post is about. The Seamaster Professional is nice, but I don't really like it in blue. I prefer the black face and bezel. But I did some research and found that the black face version has different hour markers and a crazy-big lettering bezel. I don't like it as much as the blue face version. So then i found this little beauty: It's just like the blue one, but with black face and without that terrible-looking bezel insert. Perfect! The question is, did they make a gen like this? I tried looking for one and was unsuccessful. Just wanted to know if this will be a good choice considering it might not be a "real" watch. Your opinions, thoughts? (pic shamelessly stolen from SilixPrime.
