  1. Am I missing something? I don't see a picture or a link. I think these watches are tremendously underrated. If they are selling one for $600 it will be like the Hublots were a couple of years ago. They listed for over $800 new from the cartel dealers. Now you can get them for half that.

  2. I'm must be one of the younger guys here. I love the new 116610 and the 996. I'll start with the Ceramic Sub. I like the maxi dial, ceramic bezel (the Sub bezel always looked cheap to me, even on the gen) and clasp. The Ceramic Sub bracelet feels much more substantial and quality. I always found it amazing that a watch that cost thousands had such a cheap looking bezel ring and 'tinny' bracelet. I liken it to closing the door on a german import compared to low priced economy car. I'm seriously thinking about buying one. I've actually gone to an AD to try it on, which I've never done before for any other gen. The watch is very impressive in person.

It is hard to believe that by looking at Prsist 928 pictures that the 928 model was designed in the 80's. It still looks fresh and current today. I bought a slightly used 996 C4 about seven years ago. The 996 is a great car, it's the best car I've ever owned. I agree with By-tor, the car is technically better in every way. It doesn't have the soul of a 993 but as a P-car to drive every day a 996 can't be beat.

  3. Progress marches on. This watch is less than half what I have into mine. Mods include, canon pin, lume and AR. This model was around $350 new when I picked one up 5 years ago. You guys should quiet down and be happy to have such a nice watch at an unbelievably low price. The global economic downturn sure is making good quality reps more affordable.

  4. I've decide to give up on my wait for a new SeaDweller from George. So, here's my question. Which of these three watches should I get from BK: the DSSD, noob Ceramic Sub or Blue Ceramic Sub? Can the Rolex experts weigh in on which is the most accurate? I'd also like to hear from BK owners about what it is they like/love about their watch. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and post.

  5. A couple of observations. I've got an iPad and Macbook Pro 13". I have come to love the iPad. It's the perfect device for sitting around the house and doing light work, surfing the web, using apps like WSJ or watching video. For serious email and work related stuff you gotta have a keyboard. My opinion is that the Air as an iPad on steroids. A 3G iPad and Air are about the same price. The real question is "how are you going to use it"?

My Mac doesn't get hot at all. I use it all day and it never gets warmer than room temp. That's really interesting to me.

  6. I was in the Apple store around closing time buying a trackpad and one of the store employees compliments me on my watch. It's got an orange face relumed by Kent Parks. He goes on to tell me that it's the coolest watch he's seen all day. Another employee says he was about to say the same thing. They start joking about who likes it more. Made me feel good about my choice. Interestingly the B&R gets more compliments than my PAM, Porsche, SD or Planet Ocean.
