  1. Right... I only came to appreciate the 028A when I saw of one (owned by one of our moderators) who have just had his lumed by The Zigmeister. SO i went off on a whirlwind quest to build one. Then out of the blue DSN decided to offer em. Case closed. So here we are. Thanks to those who helped DSN re-create this.

I have a LEO DW and a PVD T-crown on the way. All i need now is a PAV 99 looking strap and I'll be set.

    Cheers

Conclusion; This is a kick-ass rep. Only 2 things are disturbing me:

    1. Datewheel.. It needs Lello datewheel.

    2. Crown needs to be better. CG pin needs modding.

So what are you waiting for.... Get it coz God knows how many of these DSN has.

  3. Its a hobby, my friend. Nothing more, nothing less. The hunt for the watches and parts makes it interesting. That's why this is such an addictive (and expensive) hobby.

Most of us here take this as a challenge where we try to get the reps to the best that we can at a fraction of the cost of the genuine article. I maintain a ceiling at 1/4 or 1/3 of the cost of the genuine. That's where the challenge lies. Because at the end of the day, a rep will always be a rep and will not have a value beyond the forums.

This is also my way of sending a "F U C K Y O U" to the ridiculously priced watches now.

Have I spent too much modding my reps? Yes.

Are they more valuable than my gens? No.

Do my reps have more sentimental value than my gens? Yes, weird isn't it.
