  1. the single digit date might look ok in the watch that went to Ryan's other customer, but his double digit dates might be off too, sometimes the dates are great 1-9, then go off base 10-31...
  2. I'd still go with ZF. it has the concentric circles and better date window shape, size and position
  3. Great post...re-enfocing the notion that I'd much rather be Bond.... The RAF strap lacks the extra piece of webbing that goes under the watch, so it's less bulky than the Nato. Here's a great source for very high quality straps, including variations on the Bond theme... http://www.timefactors.com/natostraps.htm
  4. Happy Birthday asiparks!

  5. Sounds like a great trip and what a beautiful watch, but by god that's the ugliest cat I've ever seen....
  6. 38K ? I'm guessing you meant 8K, though there are a couple on watch recon for less than that... i'd wait it out a while, someone is bound to do one in the near future, (hopefully with the bracelet or nato). I have one of the regular Fifty Fathoms reps and it is ridiculously, scarily good....If the same factory could do the Bathyscaphe it would likely be amazing
  7. 3717 if you can find one, 3777, 3719 aquatimer if you can one, either of the Top Guns, 3789 or 3799 if you don't mind the faux rattrapante feature, ( likewise the visually excellent 3718 ) Portuguese 3714 looks good, the "4" can be a giveaway, but the biggest concern is the sketchy movement
  8. Happy Birthday asiparks!

  10. As noted by Mr Alves, you may be tired of hearing it, but you are hilariously wrong. But please, carry on.
  11. Happy Birthday asiparks!

  12. the consensus seems to be that you may get a proper 7750, but it might not be new, or it maybe assembled from many different gen eta parts. The asian 7750 by an large seems to be pretty reliable, on the off chance it does go titsup, it's as cheap just to buy another watch.
  13. my wife has the tiny 5 3/4" wrist of a Kenyan marathoner and it looks good on her, so it stands to reason.... ....
  14. you assume people (even gen owners ) have a clue, or care, in what order hands should be stacked.... He appears to sell a vast assortment of stuff, he probably bought it in good faith and is trying to sell it for what he believes it's worth.
  15. stand 15 feet away from your monitor so the watch looks about lifesize and see if you can still spot the lume issues.....
