Well your right there mate, i'm onto Wife No2 and a couple of kids draining the Watch funds on a daily basis. However there is rather a nice 6538 franken on the way!!! I hereby take no responsibly for my Alaskan friends actions regarding your watch collection. Keep an eye on your back door CC, he's a master of stealth
-
What on earth do you do for a living CC, A bank robber??? Good on you though mate. Nice to see a genuine collector of these beautiful older watches who has a balanced view of the Forums and in reality what watches really are. A metal case, a movement and basically something that tells the time

78360 bracelet 20mm with matching gmt endlinks, price?
denimhead replied to a topic in The Rolex Area
Well that's what i like about this place, you learn something new everyday! Although I've never seen a round '3' on any Gen bracelets I've ever owned. There's always been the 'swiss made' issue as well. Spaced or not spaced??? -

Phongs case but Mq dial CC33, I think its the best Aftermarket out there at the moment and at 320.00 euros half reasonable. Gilt Hand set from Michael at CWP including a nice White Lollypop seconds hand so should look good. DH -

I want to buy the JLC NSD, but I have question.
denimhead replied to asovo's topic in Other Brands Area
Hi Asavo, if you search the sales forum theres a very nice one for sale from a member in Canada who's happy to ship anywhere. Its the one with the swiss movement and its been waterproofed as well. cheers DH -
Or Stephane You could always buy one of these instead, Swiss 2824 swiss eta, waterproof and very well made with a bit of it's own heritage for $500.00 shipped from France. Let me know if your interested and I can give you the guys email address. The original retail price on their website is 1000.00 euros but he's selling off his stock so $500.00 is a bargain Cheers M
-
Hi Stephane I sent a few pictures of the Polaris to Angus at Puretime.co and asked the question. He did say that due to the success of the Navy Seals the factory where considering more 1-1 JLC models so fingers crossed! Cheers M

Hey Nanug- I got a new toy! No not a Doxa.
denimhead replied to offshore's topic in General Discussion
Thats a beauty offshore, and look at that price. What a Bargain against some of its period Contemporaries . -
As Freddy said, no real gain with the Swiss 7750, just allow a bit of budget for getting the Asian movement properly serviced. Should serve you well for years.

Have a look here www.dhwvintagewatchparts.com then give me a shout Cheers DH

All joking aside this guy is lucky not to live here in the UK. A lot of sales done via Ebay are eventually completed face to face with cash payment. Most places are within easy reach in a few hours. If he'd pulled that stunt over here and got caught out he'd get his lights punched out, if he was very unlucky he'd have sold the watch to a very well known Dealer based here in the Midlands who, shall we just say has some very heavy connections. The end result in that situation would be far more terrifying for the idiot Moral of the Story is never try and pull a fast one, messing people around when they're buying very expensive watches is not a clever idea DH
-
Michael will sell you the inserts seperately if you ask him DH
-
Have a look here www.classicwatchparts.com His insert comes with a nice looking Pearl. DH

Cheers sgtguk, Its a possible Gen 1570 candidate depending on the back of that dial. Asked RA to confirm where the dial came from but no reply as yet.

To live with me

Ask FXRAndy who's on the staff here. He can give you a correct over view and opinion on the watch. He's a big IWC Fan. Cheers DH
