  1. Higinsd, thanks for the kind reply again. Glad to hear that 3717 is a good quality rep. Style wise, after some "soul searching" I am also leaning towards the 3717 now mainly due to my small wrist size. I wish you could fit the 3777 bracelet on the 3717 but I guess that won't work because of the different case diameters. I plan to order a 3717 shortly. If you know where to source and install a gen crown and maybe also a gen dial, please advise. Many thanks!
  2. Thanks higginsd for the information. I went to the IWC store at NYC today, tried the 3777 (and a few other watches), it does look gorgeous, so I am about to order a rep. One last question, how does the 3777 compare with the 3717, in terms of the closeness to gen? Many thanks again.
  3. Here is the link to the bracelet version that I looked at, thanks again: http://www.pureti.me/product/pilot-chrono-3777-43mm-v6-maker-11-best-edition-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a7750/
  4. I watched their video of the bracelet version, looks great. Is this V1 or V2? Some say that V2 is not necessarily better than V1, what are the differences? Can you share the links to buy V1 and V2? (Or point me to existing posted that already discussed or answered these questions) Thanks a lot.
  5. This looks wonderful. I compared these pictures with gen pictures online, couldn't find any error. Does anyone know of any definitive give away? I am thinking of getting a bracelet version. Thanks a lot.
  6. Agree with the gap on the CG. Interestingly, H factory used to have tight gap (although tighter than gen so that it is a problem too) while the N factory has the large gap. Not sure why H factory made this change on the new 000N. Still would love to see pictures and reviews if anyone got hands on actual units. Look forward to new 005N from both factories. Thanks.
  7. This is exactly what I had in mind, would be great if I can get a used gen. Let me head over to Risti. Thanks for all the inputs!
  8. Mike, I am interested in that buckle. Sent you a PM. Many thanks.
  9. I am sure you noticed that the new 000N from H-Factory has updated movement: http://www.1-pc8838.com/pn000n03-000n-ssle-6497-slume-p-11075.html 1. 21600 bhp 2. Generic 2 needles, not by cutting off the sub-dial second hand Has anyone actually got one, and can comment the overall quality, and how does it compare with N-Factory rival, which has been largely considered to be superior? I got a 111N from N-Factory lately. The reason I ask is that I am thinking of getting a 005N or 000N, and want to make sure N-Factory remains the best choice given that H seems to have upped their game, and that they are closed case back. Your inputs would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Thanks for the kind replies, glad to see two recommendations for TWB, they do look great. This is looks good, but it is vintage, and I still prefer a 24/22, with deployment buckle. http://www.thewatchboys.com/vintage-honey-alligator-with-matching-stitch-p-360.html This honey color is the best for me, but it is for Tang buckle, would it work for a deployment buckle? http://www.thewatchboys.com/honey-alligator-with-white-stitch-for-tang-buckle-p-275.html Otherwise, I can go for this chocolate color. http://www.thewatchboys.com/chocolate-brown-alligator-with-white-stitch-for-deployant-buckle-p-231.html Finally, do you know where to find an OEM Pam deployment buckle or a good rep? Many thanks again! Very helpful.
  11. Found another one: http://www.1-pc8838.com/pna01018-2422-brown-croc-leather-strap-deployant-44mm-p-9569.html
  12. Got my N-Factory 111N recently, loving it! Want to buy a croc strap, and I prefer the new deployment buckle, more convenient. Found this one: http://tpdventures.ecrater.com/p/9982267/24mm-genuine-crocodile-brown-leather# Is this in good quality and close to gen? Is it a good choice for 111? Good place to order from? (I also asked them whether they can switch to a polished buckle, will see) Would appreciate your inputs. Thanks.
  13. I have the 111N from N-Factory, it is beautiful and my natural first choice. However, with the open back, I am a little uncomfortable wearing it to work. Therefore, I would like to get a closed back model and buy a gen strap for it to wear during the week. Facing two decisions, hope to hear your thoughts. 1. Between 000 and 005. Because I have the 111, I am more willing to give up the seconds hand, and go for the cleanest look of 000. I do like 005 a lot, but I (subjectively) feel that the dial is a bit crowded with both the seconds dial and the Logo. I assume that 000 is just as well made and close to gen as the 005? 2. Between N factory and H factory. Given the closed back, movement is of less concern. I personally noticed the gap between CG lever and CG body on the Noobs is noticeably wider than the gen, and is an immediate tell (for me). The gap on H factory is on the other hand more narrow than gen, but is slightly less glaring than the Noobs (for me). By the way, anyone offer a mod on this? Besides this, I am not familiar with other differences between N and H factories for the 000 or 005. Knowing that I have 111N from Noobs, and knowing that I am looking for a (relatively) more passable model to wear to office, could you experienced folks who perhaps went through similar thought process offer some advice, or even just some food for thought? Hoping Pete can chime in, I've read a lot of your posts, very informative and helpful. Thanks.
  14. I am new to rep and certainly new to PAM... trying to decide which one to get. I almost settled on the H-Factory 005M (was told N-Factory has better movement, but H is better from external. My priority is closeness to gen from outside since 005 has closed back). Now discovered 104I V2 from H-Factory with colorless AR, can you help comment how does it compare with the 005M in terms of closeness to gen? Does it have obvious giveaway other than the CP that is discussed in this thread? Finally, any other model that you would recommend me check out? Many thanks!
