have a look at the trader reviews at the bottom of the RWG lounge. This will give you an idea of trustytime reputation, if not specifically panerai's.

Awaiting the arrival of my first Panerai (PAM111H). I already have a replacement strap for it. Do I need any special tools to release the spring bars?

well I think I paid around 50 euros for it last year (around $60 maybe) so think that's ok! I am going back on holiday tomorrow and will be returning without a rep, unless I can get a reaaal cheap one as I'm gonna pay the money and get a good one of a dealer.

I bought this about a year ago, wasn't particularly interested in reps as such, just though it looked quite nice on my wrist. However, now, I am now looking at getting a nice Panerai rep and it has made me wonder what kind of rep this is. Can anyone tell me anything about this? What kind of rep, price you would expect to pay, what movement etc etc. And I know it's naff, just was interested to find something out about it! Excuse the crud photos:

Well I've finally decided on my dealer (PT), and I'm pretty (well almost) sure that i'll go for a 111h or possibly a destro, although I'm not sure whether it'll be too big or not. Anyway, I've got a few of questions: (I am in the UK by the way) 1. PT says that it has Swiss Unitas 6497 movement in it, I've read that this is good, can someone confirm - how long can I expect the watch to work for? 2. How often should I need to service it, where can this be done? I guess there are some people on here that do it? 3. I hear a lot about modifications - are there some that I should definitely have done - are these aethetics, or to make the watch function better? I don't want to spend

I've been browsing here for a few days and have decided upon a Panerai. Thing is, I can't decide which one to get! As the advice seems to go, I've pretty much chosen my dealer (PT - hope it's ok to say so), I am in the UK, so think this is good choice The thing is, I can't decide which one to go for, there are so many to choose from! At the moment I am thinking: Luminor Marina H Series Panerai Luminor Marina Luminor Marina Militare Titanium Luminor GMT Titanium Are the first two the same? Has anyone any advice regarding the reliability of these? or just general advice as to which the best might be? Or is it purely a matter of taste? thanks!
