Yes that's right!! Ken makes a good point too - Duncan could have a million ducks and the question could still be valid (especially since it's supposed be a lateral thinking game). Anyway, here we go: Dave worked for a packaging company. One day, Dave received four separate orders and accidentally mixed up the addresses, so he applied the address labels at random. What is the probability that exactly three packages were correctly labelled?
-
Oh, too good! I thought that would have people arguing for half a day! WINNER!! Duncan Drivel was asked how many ducks he had. "Well," he said, "they just walked down and I didn't actually count them, but I remember one duck in front of two ducks, another duck behind two ducks, and another duck between two ducks." How many ducks does Duncan have?

WINNER!! Okay two questions to leave overnight... I'm just not sure if anyone on this forum will crack this one (I write it just because it's a genuine question in the pack): What is the third hand on a watch or clock called? And another question: If you were to step into a sealed room filled with 100% methane gas and strike a match, what would happen?

Almost word for word what it says on the back of the card? Aye, obviously the survivors, well, survive. Sam Shady was working for a large construction company that was very concerned about employee theft. Someone tipped company security that Shady was the man to watch. Each night, he passed through security with a wheelbarrow full of scrap lumber, discarded electrical wires, and chunks of concrete. The security guards checked the contents daily, but could find nothing of value. What was Shady stealing?
-
Actually I will give the answer for this one, because I just read the back and it's kind of shite. The answer it gives is nine, but on the back it goes "if we assume..." - huh? You have to assume that the train doesn't meet the next train to leave in Edinburgh when it pulls in, or that it doesn't encounter the one that has just pulled into London when it sets off. So ten, I think is plausible for this too. Something easier - quick money round!! If an airplane carrying the US swim team crashed directly on the border between the United States and Canada, in which country would the surivors be buried?
-
Not none, not ten. And yes, the trains all running on time is completely hypothetical
-
That's what happens when you hire Mark "Chopper" Read as your attorney! It's done the rounds, but I still love this "Chopper" piss take weather report from the Ronnie Johns Half Hour: "Chopper" Read does the weather

PERFECT!! WINNER!! Granny Smith, was was leaving London, boarded a train at four minutes past the hour. After boarding, she stuck her head out of the window and shouted to the ticket man, "How far are we from Edinburgh?" "All trains take five hours either way," he replied. "How many trains shall I meet on the way?" Asked Granny. "A train leaves Edinburgh at five minutes past the hour, every hour," answered the ticket man. How many trains will Granny Smith meet? EDIT: spelling

I have NFI why he visits once a week and then does the washing. Aye - WINNER @irongambit. It's 15. The day before yesterday Scheming Suzie was nine years old. Next year she will be twelve. How is this possible?
-
"It's good, but it's not right!"
-
Just knickers. It's not 7.

Right, and right!! Hope the interview went well! Every Tuesday evening Hardy Pyle drives up to his cottage to visit his wife. On these weekly visits he drops off the clean clothes and picks up the dirty laundry. Since Mrs Pyle changes her underwear each morning, what is the minimum number of underwear she can own?
-
Good logical thinking! I like it! You're almost there, but historically there was a slightly different reason...

I'd second these suggestions. If you are into museums, then the British Museum is both amazing and free. There are also some excellent art galleries - the National Gallery in Trafalger Square has all the famous impressionists and classical artists - and I think it's free too. The Tate Modern has all your Picassos, Matisses and so on (admission charged). I never tried the London Eye, but I believe the queues can be quite long and it is very slow, so bear that in mind if you're in a hurry. Avoid some of the tourist traps - don't pay to go into Buckingham Palace, it's not old and it's not interesting. Madame Tussauds, run away, don't walk. I'd also add a really nice London pub to the mix as a great experience. Some of the parks in the centre of town are nice for wandering through if you want a quick respite from the bustle. Hope you land the courier trip!!
