  1. That's a fantastic bit of axe kit, very cool. With the shoes does anyone have suggestions where the colour of the polish just isn't quite the same as the colour of the shoe? Do you know what I mean when it's quite a different shade, but at the same time you do want to go over it with sorting out scuffs and so on. Or maybe that's just my issue...
  2. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know the lug width.
  3. They had to make it to comply with EU emmission standards across their range. (V12 beast + golf buggy) / 2 = compliant. Some of the other brands belong to big 'groups' that have smaller cars, such as Fiat and VW. For Aston Martin (now independent of Ford) they either had to cut the balls off their main models, or add a tiny plop of a car to the line up to even it out. That's my understanding anyway.
  4. Does anyone know how much the gen strap is on this? (Or cool alternative straps?)
  5. This is so exciting, but launching them before CNY is a bit mean! Catching up on the thread it looks like they're palming off QC onto customers, and hoping some schmuck will take the bads ones. The bloated logo is not ideal. Good catch. The AR on the 45 is awful, is that right? That's gutting if so.
  6. Scary stuff. Glad you got back in one piece.
  7. Free drams on the hoose! And for anyone daring not to join in, some local news....
  8. I think I have the perfect solution
  9. I'd just make sure they all have to spend time together around a table. There's a point at which not speaking with someone becomes silly.
  10. Sorry to hear about the maelstrom. Families....all part of the fun. I'm sure the ice will thaw when they get back. They're young, and if they have never lost someone close to them, perhaps that sad lesson in life is still to come - it's not a fun lesson, so hopefully put off as long as possible! By the time I was their age, my own father was long since dead. Whatever the justifications or rationale, some things in life just transcend that - they go above "being pissed off" or retribution. I think caring for an elderly parent is one of those things. Hope you manage to smooth it over. As long as there isn't some high pressure family event coming up like Thanksg....aw shit.....
  11. This is an international forum. I get that emotions run high, but I don't think this is appropriate discussion. At least 150 people were murdered (according to Amnesty International), just because 2 people have had their convictions overturned doesn't mean that nobody did it. I do get the significance of a lack of conspiracy or whatever, I just don't think it's something to high five about - it's a human tragedy regardless. I get that it's a big deal for you, but others are going to feel quite strongly another way, and at the end of the day, that's not great for our brotherly harmony here.
  12. I always got the impression (rightly or wrongly) that the new E-Class was their 'Global Financial Crisis' model, set up to be a bit cheaper than the old one, fake leather upholstery and all. I find the insides of some of the newer models a bit to plasticky for my liking (C-Class and so on). They obviously get a lot better up the range, but that's an unacceptable lemon you seem to have had.
  13. Allegedly it's a Jorg Gray 6500. Mitt wore a Citizen and a 'Nixon' on the campaign trail. Now I guess he can bin those and get back to the Patek. It's a bit lame that the most powerful man on earth feels like he can't wear a nice watch for fear of what people will say (or rather, an insincere attempt to look humble). What's the fun otherwise...
  14. If it's any consolation, the Chinese just spend all your money in Australia, so that's working out great. Thanks guys for all the money. And we just spend it on Starbucks and Apps. It's like some kind of weird boomerang they call trade. On a happier note, this debate is but a quiet wet sloppy fart to the challenge of the ageing population pension time bomb in every western economy. Talk about generations stealing from the generation beneath them....no joke.
  15. Not sure if this applies to GZ, but in Beijing I've managed it. You're not supposed to leave the airport, but once you're through passport control, there's not much they can do if they don't know. Worth a go in my book.
  16. Phew! As long as the gen also slices babies' faces then I can relax....I was worried there that I might get called out by a baby I only managed to scratch, and they'd be like, "whoah, dude, what, no blood? Is that even gen?" Oh, wait, unless the guy was more worried about the baby...... (Just teasing).
  17. FYI I think it's called the Kings St Brewhouse these days, hasn't been called James Squires for quite a long time.
