  1. Very interesting story indeed. I ended up reading about the Sentinelese people too.
  2. I love it!!!! If we see this at the next BASELWORLD we'll hit them for copyright infringement!! Back on topic, I have three and a half PO's (the half works, but has no pearl, and the bezel is loose), and have two of them in constant rotation.
  3. These guys have modded more of their watches than most of us have had hot dinners, so I think it pays to listen to them! The answer to the riddle is not to look for a person that can both service and mod a watch, forget that. Let's work to find people that are at least good at one of them, let alone two. For the ETA movements - that's the easy bit. If it's an asian 7750, less easy. On the modding side, time for folk to practice. Just don't go charging other people for blowing dust off the dial until you have a proven track record of knowing what you're doing!! (Hint: Deep breath!) Ziggy is doing us a massive favour in the long run; he can't be everybody's hero - it's time for other folk to step up to the challenge (and the scrutiny that comes with it).
  4. Thanks to the wonders of science and technology, you too can now live the thrills and spills of TTK's daily routine direct from your desktop! http://www.mapjack.com/ [For some unknown reason somebody thought it would make a brilliant business plan to take photos of central Pattaya and create a virtual online version you can walk around.] A screenshot of a typical Pattaya streetscape: No sign of any reps though... I see they have now updated the site with Lake Tahoe - they're definitely conquering the world one step at a time with this system
  5. Ah, that rings a bell - I think I checked that out at the time. Struggling to remember why I didn't buy one though. My kid doesn't need a pony any more than I need another watch after all
  6. Come on - spit it out. Where did you pick this up for $500 from? Pleeeeese.....
  7. You're seeing the cache of the avatar - it's all Hawaii here!
  8. Welcome! iOffer is the wild west a little bit; there are some legit sales on there, but you have to be very wary of photos of gens rather than what you're buying (especially if its a rare watch or brand), bait and switch, misleading descriptions and outright scams.
  9. It looks fantastic It's always great to see and hear about GTG's
  10. Maybe we need a cinnamon bun sub-forum after all, I've been pushing for it for some time now And best of luck with the new arrival! Happy days!
  11. Damn - a watch butler! Why didn't I think of one of those Now I neeeed one....
  12. Rumour has it...when the international magazine spreads come out with Ken modelling his own wares it's going to jump 180%!
  13. Great photos and a gem of a kid! I was hoping for more shots of your actual breakfast though....
  14. Great shots and a great watch! Thanks!!
  15. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what we need more of!! I'm guessing the RM is Richard Mille.... Either that or you're talking about this refrigerator magnet also with the code RM 009 http://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/haol...et-RM-009-.html As Ken said, always good to see a true expert like yourself around
  16. Ah, Middle Earth - I get it now! (Logan's hint in no way helped ) I must be slow.... Yeah, on the millionaire front if Lotto and football aren't viable options, that pretty much just leaves you with pimping and owl hustling obviously. I'm not big on chronos, but the experts say the new A7750 is decent - the bad reports generally seem to stem from the older A7750.
  17. Good to see you Thomas! We need to steer you away from being a valued citizen and learned teacher and back towards the big bucks and all those cool watches.....
