  1. You're a cheapskate Narikaa - if she'd come to me I would have offered an additional distant star, to hell with it, an entire galaxy from a Hubble photo for only a fiver more. BTW I think this thread is the zenith of RWG "freestyle" arguing here - everyone on a soap box discussing their (different) favourite subject at exactly the same time. Later in the year, and in the spirit of the Beijing 'replica' Olympics we might make that one of the forum medal-winning sports.
  2. Those are not a bad set of blades - but whatever you do DO NOT press the windscreen washer button when driving. :yucky:
  3. Hopefully this hasn't been posted already, but I had a family member point me in the direction of this Railmaster XXL article by Top Gear's James May. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.j...15/mrmay115.xml James May: Time for a new watch Dash-mounted stopwatches, chronograph wristwatches, macho timepieces... do we really need them? Every time I fly from Heathrow Terminal One I make a point of visiting the Omega Watch Emporium (as I'm sure it must be called) and trying on the Railmaster XXL. I've now done this so often that last time I was there the endlessly patient woman who runs the place was already removing it from the display cabinet as I approached, rather in the way the landlord of my local starts pouring my pint as soon as I walk through the door. I doubt I'll ever buy it, because it's
  4. Awesome Is this auction for the POTR effort?
  5. But tourby, wearing a watch as lovely as that....you'd be the beau of the prison showers....
  6. I have to say - that's one sweet watch. As V said, more wearable too.
  7. This thread is for any outstanding issues relating to the Group Buy. If you are still waiting for a watch, feel free to post here. If you were waiting for a watch and are delighted that it has now arrived, feel free to post here. If you have questions for TTK, he can't respond here, so become a repgeek member, PM him there or skype him and your problems are solved.
  8. Great pics - enjoy your holiday!! Makes we want a holiday too - then I wake up and remember the reality of pushchairs and so on. We did take my daughter to HK when she was a baby - we bought her all this Disneyland gear in the Airport shop, so that when she grows up she'll think we were nice enough to take her there, but that she just doesn't remember
  9. It's 5 microns, not mils, and it's probably unlikely to be that TBH.
  10. When you think about the tiny details that we are famous for being irked by, that aftermarket second hand on a US$100k watch would drive me nuts. At $200 I can deal with it, on a watch that expensive I seriously couldn't. Plus it could probably do with going to Cheiftang or Jakub for an AR upgrade (I keeed, I keeed )
  11. I looked at the times on RG, and within 5 minutes of musicale seeing the explanation there he had updated the thread here. In the scheme of things, that is not an unreasonable amount of time, and hardly worth fretting about. I thought musicale's post was excellent. Again, I will reiterate to folk - there's no point trying to contact TTK via this thread, you have to skype or contact him on repgeeks. But I understand that buyers do still have watches outstanding from the group buy, so there is not a chance in hell of shutting this thread down - they deserve to be able to say their piece.
  12. I agree on UPS raping, disagree on the Fedex being fine [this is non-Canada specific]. They're just as bad - got a $50 processing fee off them just the other day for something that would be free is sent via mail. Not just that, but they were incompetent at invoicing and processing that fee too - so far they've sent me the invoice eight times, three times once in one day - all long after it had been paid, and it would have been paid sooner except they couldn't accept cc payments after 5pm. Get it sent by regular mail if you can, it's often faster too.
  13. C'mon - this is just angling for mischief isn't it? I don't see what this adds to any group buy discussion. TTK is not going to be posting responses to questions here, so it is true to say that there is no point asking TTK questions here. Still, it will be nice for those members still awaiting watches to be able to post the wonderful news that they finally arrived.
  14. Ken, I think you've missed musicale's post further up - this is a resolved issue. Yes, if you live in the UK, routing via the UK is unnecessary If folk have any outstanding issues from the group buy, then it is true that there is no point harping on about them here. Sign up at repgeeks, then you are a repgeeks member and you can discuss any outstanding issues and PM there. I have total confidence that you will be taken care of.
  15. To give you some cheer, the current average UK price is US$8.09 per gallon (US gallon).
  16. I'm hoping the idea is to clean the slate, move on and try again guys. A fresh start. I don't see much benefit in recycling old quarrels.
  17. Welcome Bizzon. There are certainly quality Chronofighters, but cheap they ain't.
