  1. Wish I had known about this a wee bit earlier. Might've taken a shot or two. Dayyyyyytonnnnnaaaaa...
  2. My PAM187 is on its way...already shopping around for a gen 7753 to throw in it. There are some on ebay, but if anyone has one they wanna part with...
  3. I've been looking hard to find something wrong with it. So far, I'm happy to report I haven't found a thing.
  4. My name's Steve. "The Great Escape" came out the year I was born. I collect flight jackets from WWII (and later) - my grandfather was in the AAF. But mostly....because Steve McQueen.
  5. Mmmmm...dome. Here are a couple of side shots. Again, crappy light and an iPhone. I need to make up one of those DIY milk jug studios. Been wearing this non-stop. Have had three people ask me about it in the last day and a half. Love the size, too. And some more dial shots:
  6. Ok. Here it is. Man. O. Man. Do I like this watch. Nanuq is right - it's insanely comfortable. I touched up the outer markers with orange crayon. Can't decide if I want to fill 'em in with the orange Testors or not. Definitely won't be polishing a thing - it wears its age proudly. The BOR bracelet looks great and will be going on as soon as the endlinks arrive. Have a look. Crappy iPhone pics, but you get the idea. Thanks again, N. I owe you big for the head's up and for the endlinks.
  7. My willpower lasted about two minutes.
  8. Big Thanks to Nanuq - if it wasn't for his post, I never would've caught it. Been jonesing for a quality vintage Doxa 300 for a long time. And, as if that wasn't enough, he graciously offered me some endlinks I can put on the BOR bracelet. Proof again of what a great community this is. I'll be sure to post some pics once it arrives. Thanks again, Captain Alaska.
  9. Too late. I got it. Thanks, Nanuq. Wanted one for years. Never would've come across it if it weren't for you. Mille Grazie.
  10. Nice for a first pass, but bezel font is off and WAY too thin. Hands not particularly close either. Crown guards look too massive. I'm actually thinking about getting a gen of this, but the price is semi-stupid. Can't wait to see one in person. They're gonna sell a lot of these. Gens and reps.
  11. This is it. This would be my last rep (if they get it right) Funny, even as I typed that, I knew it was a lie.
  12. Got a pic, Mr. Clark? What size?
  13. Namely...who can build mine? Zig's on vacation 'til June and I've got all the pieces (DW case set, Yuki hands, 7734 with 45 min counter in the right place and everything) and no one to put 'em together. I'm in CONUS, but I'd ship overseas if it'll get the thing assembled more quickly. Any help/suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thx.
  14. I sit corrected. And happy. I'll order some tomorrow. Thx!
  15. Arrgh. I need a BR03 black bar for my gen - it snapped while replacing the strap. Dude at the AD told me four weeks for a lousy bar. BR03's are smaller than BR01's, redwatch.
  16. Would someone please get bored of their 7032 and sell it to me? Don't want to build one - too hard to find the 7734 now. Yes, I'm lazy. I actually like the new one, but not for that price. .
  17. can someone give a detailed, shot-for-shot comparison of this with the gen? I haven't bought a straight gen in awhile, but this one has me interested.
  18. TOTALLY legit. been shopping with them for two years now. Some great deals but you have to move quick on them as they don't have a ton of sizes. Bought a couple Varvatos suits, some Red Wing boots, Ike Behar dress shirts, cashmere sweaters, snowboarding pants, Allegri down parka (awesome, by the way), etc. Their iPhone app is pretty good, too.
  19. My boss has one. Has had to bring it in three times because of heating - A/C issues. He loves it...when it's working properly.
  20. nah. just a crappy shot. but you do control all the functions via the crown. I busted a screw in the lug pin and haven't worn it for a few months. My gen 1675's been getting most of my wrist love lately.
  21. You're insane. Wonderfully, beautifully insane. Great watch.
  22. Wow, that looks fantastic. Isn't this watch a no-brainer for a rep? Anyone hear anything?
