Perhaps the flash of the camera messed up the photo of the Safari?
Nonetheless, the AP logo is too big on the Safari and its crooked
-
haha than i was probably lucky to get one last week
-
I think that is the one that Trusty is carrying. I am having myself the difficult decision to go for one of them.
I rather tend to the noob/cheaper one, but I have heard that it has a lot of movement difficulties and the exchange isnt easy after all. Furthermore over at the geeks they vote more for the h-fac
....i am so confused
-
I am really impressed. This has a lot of potential
-
I would say that this is one of the better one. But I am no expert
-
I am on the waiting list since 20th of September. This waiting time makes me crazy!

Here's what Andrew wrote to me:
"No stocks on the AP diver and I advise you to wait for an ultimate version which will be out soon"
I have heard something similar

Hi guys,
I was ordering two SOSFs V2 - one on bracelet and one on brown leather strap for a friend.
The leather one smelled like wet basement when it arrived. Okay this might be the result of long transport... But thats not the main point - now one loop broke. I havent seen it, but my friend is making mimimimi about this....
His guess is that the loop is only glued together?! Is there any way to fix it?
Hahah I want to keep him in the rep game, after he had two bad experiences

Sticker on rotor -> 100% fake

Hi guys,
I ordered a Planet Ocean Chrono (A7750, correct subdial spacing) for a friend of mine in October. The watch was running 24/7 for round about two weeks, but than died. Since my friend has no idea of watches - was his first automatic - I explained him everything into detail how to handle....Long story short I visited him two weeks ago and saw the watch was not running and I talked to him about it. I tried to get it back running - but failed.
From what I can see externally - Rotor spinns without wired noises - no unnormal noises at all, Setting Date and Time works - but thats it. I remembered that the watch had some problems from the beginning on to start - took a long winding time.
Do you have an idea what I can do?
Thanks in advance!

It is not in production anymore (V2). There is a V3 around, but the V3 is more like the V1
-
I gonna do that for sure. A nice brown or tobacco coloured strap is the plan

Winding should be done clockwise ... not anti-clock
My bad. Its my first pam - lets see how it works now
-
Hi guys,
after a long waiting time my PAM finally arrived - such a gorgeous watch, but wait. What to with a watch that doesnt keep time and freezes after some minutes
My situation: I opened the CG to wind the watch(in the position the crown gets after the crownguard ist open). I winded the watch anti-clockwise for like 50 times. Than I set the time and the watch started to run. This seemed a little odd since my other automatic watches dont run as long as I am in the "timesetting".
Anyhow - when I closed everything, the watch ran for like 2-3 minutes, sometimes just seconds.
Now a gave some light slap with my palm against the caseback and it suddenly started to run. I am not sure how long the watch will run, but something seems to be wrong.
What should I do?
Since the movement isnt the most reliable on the market, I thought to switch it against a Swiss 6497 with Cotes de Geneve, medium grade..
Best Regards,
Geee
P.S.:
When I started writing this thread it was 5 p.m., now it is 5:20 p.m. and the watch is still running - lets hope and pray
-
How about just a Swiss Unitas 6497 off from ebay. About 200$ for a new movement with COTE DE GENEVE luxury upgrade
-
wow what a nice watch... this must be worth thousands....
-
The old one is def. better, but for the new one I am also to torn between like and dislike....
-
even the ROLEXROLEX engraving is nearly spot on

The people who buy high-end reps like we do is a small group.
Normally tourists or online-shoppers pick up the cheapest stuff without knowing anything about the watch. It is just about a Omega, Rolex etc Logo. Perhaps the know that there is a Submariner or a Seamaster, but that is it.
We are on the hunt for the next perfect rep or mod one with gen parts from an already expensive rep. The big group of rep buyers would never consider to buy a rep for more than 50$. But this group is probably multiple times bigger than our "little" community.
There is market for cheap stuff, so the factories try to use it and make money. That is normal. They make probably more money on the cheap [censored] - because of high sales and not the price

Finally I had luck! It seems as if I got one of the last ones Amazing watch!!

Noob vs Jf safari
in The Audemars Piguet Area

As stated above, the Safari and the Black themes are the best of the four from Toro's offer when compared against gen. Grey + Blue colours are off.
I have read several times that the Noob Safari and the Black Themes are as nearly as good as the JF - for 200$ less it is a great deal.
If you go for a leather strap, you probably have to replace it for a "better" aftermarket strap ($130-250).
