congratulations Clint : A lot of work.
-
I like the blasted military look. Congrats.
-
Following is a pic of an easy to complete project.
Took some parts i already have (a chinese 6497, one sterile dial painted a long time ago with transluscent orange varnish) plus a new Getat Radiomir case with a domed plexi to build this daily beater.
Add an oiled Savage strap, et voil

@panera :
I use the sterile dsn crown you see in the pic, and brushed it.
To get a vintage look to your 26mm springbars, file the slot to erase it and use capecod to get it shiny.

it's time to share my latest project : a 6152/1 destro.
Specs are following :
-dsn case
-nw 6152/1 flat caseback
-nw one-off case ring to fit 6497
-swiss 6497 with perlage on crown wheel and ratchet wheel (i know it's difficult to see in the pictures...)
-rmc dial, vintage cream color acrylic paint and rhodo
-
Thanks for sharing.
May i ask you to tell us the diameter of your dsn dials ?
-
Subscribed for the 2nd batch on the hommageforum too.
-
Now everybody sees your pics :
Nice engraving. Is it laser made ?
-
Simply amazing ! Congrats !
-
Nice cali ! congrats ! May i ask you where did you get that fat caseback ?
-
I have removed the aluminium ring (thats fits a 6497) from my Davidsen 6152/1.
Outer diameter of the ring is 39.45mm
Height is 3.45mm

To R : Are Cortebert 616/Molnija 3602 dimension the same ? I Think so because Russians bought the tooling from Cortbert.
To Dadog13 : I let you choose the price that you think is fair. Your project, your price !
-
And remember Davidsen don't accept paypal !
-
Dadog13, a lot of people from rwg are repgeek members too. I have already replied on rg i'm interested with brass mvtholders for Molnija.
-
Thanks for the hard work. I really like the new look.

Awesome stuff !

I agree with Helmut, it's a 6152/1 without CG.
It's not the only one gen (or partialy gen) i have see with brushed case.
I have pic of gen 6152/1 with brushed case and CG, with ang240.
To be honest, i never understand how this watch was made polished, brushed is more logic for military watch and cost nothing more.
Is it possible to show us your pic of the entirely brushed 6152/1 your talking about ? Thanks a lot.
-
One question i think will interest a lot of people : Is the hole size from Cortebert hand smaller than the Unitas ? In other words is it possible to resize the holes to fit a Unitas caliber ?
-
Very nice watch, and a great mod that turned out just great!
Now since, I am slowly getting the fever...I am now wanting to get an homage too! A curious question now:
Where can I buy the lume used by hike? What is it called? Brand name or generic?I intend to get an homage, and then rework the lume just like he did.
Many thanks!

Nice work ! Congrats.

You don't understand the way i was wondering why this case was brushed. I know the watch is real.
I collect a lot of gen pics for my projects and that's the first time i see a 6152 case that is not polished.
I have a french 1992 (seventeen years ago ) auction sales catalog with a similar watch and the case is polished.
-
please take a look at this 6152 for sale :
http://www.clubpanerai.com/index.asp?notiz...ezionescelta=32
Don't you think the case would be totally polished instead of being brushed ?
The seller says that 'Officine Panerai" was added after (not before)...
And it is a 6152, not a 6152/1...
A lot of mistakes from this ad.
