Panerai only auction sale to be held in Paris, France december 8, 2014 : vintage, pre-v, pre-a.... pdf catalog to download ! http://www.artcurial.com/pdf/2014/2527.pdf
Enjoy !
Following is a pic of an easy to complete project.
Took some parts i already have (a chinese 6497, one sterile dial painted a long time ago with transluscent orange varnish) plus a new Getat Radiomir case with a domed plexi to build this daily beater.
Add an oiled Savage strap, et voil
@panera :
I use the sterile dsn crown you see in the pic, and brushed it.
To get a vintage look to your 26mm springbars, file the slot to erase it and use capecod to get it shiny.
it's time to share my latest project : a 6152/1 destro.
Specs are following :
-dsn case
-nw 6152/1 flat caseback
-nw one-off case ring to fit 6497
-swiss 6497 with perlage on crown wheel and ratchet wheel (i know it's difficult to see in the pictures...)
-rmc dial, vintage cream color acrylic paint and rhodo
To R : Are Cortebert 616/Molnija 3602 dimension the same ? I Think so because Russians bought the tooling from Cortbert.
To Dadog13 : I let you choose the price that you think is fair. Your project, your price !
Follow the links to download them and tell me what do you think ! Hope you like!

One question i think will interest a lot of people : Is the hole size from Cortebert hand smaller than the Unitas ? In other words is it possible to resize the holes to fit a Unitas caliber ?
You don't understand the way i was wondering why this case was brushed. I know the watch is real.
I collect a lot of gen pics for my projects and that's the first time i see a 6152 case that is not polished.
I have a french 1992 (seventeen years ago ) auction sales catalog with a similar watch and the case is polished.
please take a look at this 6152 for sale :

Don't you think the case would be totally polished instead of being brushed ?
The seller says that 'Officine Panerai" was added after (not before)...
And it is a 6152, not a 6152/1...
A lot of mistakes from this ad.
