  1. That's a beautiful work! Congrats Olreon! May be you need a tall plexi like my 6152/1 project? Do you have milled the "reg tm" engraving on your crownguard?
  2. Thanks very much for your kinds words guys!
  3. Yes, Kostas, it's a strap made made from your old italian leather jacket that you sold me some months ago. With a little work(fingernail varnish remover, black and brown shoe wax) you can obtain this kind of "patina" (i don't know if it's the exact word in english..). Et voilà le travail!
  4. I have bought the strap from "V" and did some custom work on it.
  5. The dial was relumed by Mark. Awesome job isn't it? There's a Molnija in it(plain caseback). I will take some pics of the movement in a few days because i have lent my caseback key to a friend. (I have a "Brev ital" crownguard from davidsen on the way to my home too.. More pics to come!)
  6. While browsing and looking for pics and parts for my mbw 1680 project i have found these two interesting websites: the DIY section from the worldwide rlx forum: http://www.wwrf.nl.eu.org/viewforum.php?f=7 I'm sure you will like the pic EVEN you're not a sub fan (Moderator: Delete if innapropriate) http://www.wwrf.nl.eu.org/viewtopic.php?t=223 and this one from Deutschland: http://www.oysterinfo.de/en/detailinfos/index.php
  7. Randy, i will be interested by this new datewheel for my mbw 1680!
  8. Nice pics Kostas! I see you like driving on a circuit..Don't you ever think having some fun on the nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany? 22 kilometers a lap...
  9. You must make a choice: if you buy a rep you will be dead in two years. So if you don't want to gamble with your life buy a gen! We all know here that we're condemned but don't want to talk about.
  10. I used a debit card. the bezel was easy to pop off. And.. there is no washer spring! i put the bezel back and it now turns without being too easy or to hard to turn. May be the bezel was not properly installed. One more little thing to buy!
  11. May be the missing link between vintage and modern Pams! (I don't know why Pam designers never put golden hands on their steel Luminors...)
  12. The case is from a River Luminor 005. Dial and hands are from Jimmyzfu. See-trough caseback from Jimmyzfu. Movement buyed on ebay deutschland (6497 with "élaboré" finish). Long cannon pin (the dial is thick) Dial and hands lume by The Zigmeister. Don's strap with Bob buckle.
  13. Thanks Ubi! You're the man! (The vintage sub man!)
  14. Just want to share the pics of my last "no name" project...Enjoy!
  15. My mbw 1680 bezel turns almost freely from 12 to 2 o'clock then is very hard (almost impossible) to turn.. Do you know what can i do to resolve this problem. I have seen this useful link about sub bezel removing but need advice! Thanks! http://www.vikbobil.se/bezel.html
  16. Thanks for your reply Panerai153 I'm actually studying what i will do/will not do on my 1680 project. I have ordered a white letter submariner dial, because i don't like the font of the red letter dial. I think i will order a set of gen Tudor sub hands too. And the dial/hands will be "vintagized". Browsing on the bay i have seen a lot of gen subs with the incorrect bezel insert, you're right! The datewheel must have a flat number three... the three is curved
  17. Very useful for my mbw 1680 project. Thanks Ubiquitous!
