  1. today exercise: opening the caseback of your rolex tomorrow exercise: changing oil on your lamborghini
  2. hi guys, do you know how to obtain a deeper black finish on my davidsen pvd case to match the pvd buckle i already have? may i use car wax? or something else( that will not scratch the pvd finish)? thanks!
  3. nice watch! congrats! fun to see i have nearly a same "no name" project. dial(relumed and aged by The Zigmeister), golden hands, clear caseback from jimmyzfu. 44mm case from river.(from a 005 i bought last year) 6497/1 with cotes de geneve finish. all of the bits are now at my watchsmith: waiting for eta spare parts... (this is a no second dial and the movement is a small second at nine one).
  4. happy to see that you're staying Kostas! philippe.
  5. very nice! where did you get the strap?
  6. gianni agnielli (ceo of fiat and ferrari) was wearing his watch like this. jean cocteau too. it's a master of taste. i like this way of wearing if the color of the strap is the same as the color of the garment.
  7. with a brushed case the pvd finish will be matt black. with a polished case the pvd finish will be shiny.
  8. i was (yes was!) a "purist", or "genuine" watches collector before buying my first rep last year (on ebay and from river). now i will never, say never buy a gen panerai. too pricey for a unitas/eta even with modified bridges. i remember very well that ten years ago during a trip to milano, italy the first pams i saw were a lot of money (same price for a no date sub) for an almost "unknow" brand. the only gen i own today is a speedmaster moonwatch.
  9. i saw it on 'risti this afternoon: bad taste joke.
  10. welcome back tommy. my condolences.
  11. i travel to the nurburgring four to five times a year. my time: 9.45 minutes. but i think it's possible to improve that time. i have a too "conservative" driving style. well , i need my car to go back to home (don't want to go to a railwaystation to go back to france). following is the link to the ring (with a webcam): http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/
  12. is anybody here (i think about the germans forumers) knowing the nurburgring nordschleife?
  13. this is my car: 328i with bilsteins, eibach, bigger antiroll bars, strutbar, no cat, inox line, alpine+jbl stereo system, 235/40/17 goodyear tyres:
  14. ca ira beaucoup mieux avec une mbw vintage red sub. lol.
