  1. I have seen that some members have their 6152/1 fitted with vintage look springbars. Are they only custom made ? I'm interested with springbars that fit a Davidsen case (Bigger hole on the crownguard side, smaller hole on the other side). Thanks for you replies. (Pics from Fishgodeep topic to ssen what i mean)
  2. I have found a very interesting website for pre-v lovers. You will find pics of 5218..., straps, boxes, and goodies. take a look : http://www.vannic.it/
  3. Thanks all for your nice comments ! I will try to better match the dial/hands with a little less orange color.
  4. I have removed Davidsen lume that was a little bit yellow and repaint the dial with translucent yellow/orange paint (that is difficult to see in the pictures but it's translucent).
  5. Davidsen ! I have painted the text in black .

  10. Thanks for this interesting link.
  11. To take apart a sandwich dial you can take a razor blade or a thin blade (modeller blade...). The two dials are usually glued. Wear gloves to avoid fingerprints on the upper dial.
  12. Is the asian 7750 the only caliber option? No Unitas on the way ? "Movement retaining ring for 6497 outer diameter 40mm inner 37mm"
  13. So let's go with tape !
  14. Hi guys, I already have a marina militare 47mm caseback opener but it don't fit my Vintage 47mm Davidsen 6152/1. I know there's other ways to unscrew casebacks but i like this kind of tool... May you know if this opening tool from strapcode fits ? Thanks.

Sorry about your loss.. and welcome back !
  16. No, it's not a tourist spot it's only an old house alone in the forest near the sea.The doors are open so it's possible to go inside but it's empty (and stinky...) (My wife was a little frightened when i was taking pictures of the house. I think she's right when she said to me there are homeless people inside, because i have seen an old bicycle, chairs, and empty tin boxes.)
  17. I'm just back from Tuscany / Italy and want to share some pics i have taken last week from Bocca Di Serchio (secret training center of slc frog men during ww2). May you have already seen that house on risti' forum... and on history books about Panerai.
  18. Thanks for the explanation and pics !
  19. Hi, I wonder the way straps on vintage luminor are setting down. Tube and screws like the modern one or (i think i'm right) springbars ? I never seen a pic of vintage gen springbars, may be someone can show me ? Thanks !
  20. The dial is coming from a radiomir i bought from silix.
  21. Following is a pic of my first attempt to replicate the dial of a vintage radiomir. I have used a thin mica sheet and painted it with colored orange varnish. What do you yhink of the result ? Too reddish ? may be i will try with yellow varnish ? Opinions are welcome !
