I believe the complication @3 is faux.

Or at least partly FAUX (2 hands so one should be Faux)....is there an issue with the minute counter on 9 also?

" Another flaw is the ridiculous split second hand on the 3 o'clock register. I don't know why they didn't do this like the PAM flyback reps where they just stack the hands so at least when the chrono is not moving it looks accurate. "

  2. I am not an OMEGA expert at all but will try to give some input...lets hope the real experts chime in later :euro:

rocket science and 7750 movement in one and the same sentence that is rare B) there might be some issues with subdial distances, depth of date window etc but in principle it should be possible to get close to the 2015 version 8the original 57 should be more difficult given the difference in movements)..

I guess there is already quite a few reps with two subdials out ther at the moment however inaccurate in one way or another

Modern Norwegian yes, it's the traditional Yorkshire way of counting and is basically Viking with 1000 years of cumulative errors. My family and lots and of the old families still count livestock that way.

Thats great. I actually have a farm in Norway but live in the city. No livstock there now...but they may return in 10-20 years from now when I can stay there all year long.

  4. I've not been so active on these fora the last two years but even so it seems that the quality of replicas peaked with the IWC 3777 (not considering ROLEX and TUDORs)

Have there really been any great new out of the box accurate replicas the last 1-2 years? are the factories stagnating?

He could certainly craft an elegant sentence and had a knowledge that was deep and wide. He also gravitated to the more powerful end of the Mercedes range, which was something else we had in common.

I would say RIP, but he didn't believe and neither do I so I'll just say Cheers, it was fun.

He seemed to be a catholic at heart to me actually, but it makes sense if he didn’t believe in fairytales. Certainly it was and is fun.

Sad about Neil. I came to know him via Skype. He was in Thailand at the time and we used to Skype quite regularly. Aside from the fact that his stuff was high quality and photo's were as good as it gets, he was a really interesting guy. Didn't suffer fools gladly, and went out of his way to prove that, but "in person" or one on one, he was a well educated and decent guy. I still have the reps i got from him and always wondered what happened to him. I actually missed him on the boards. Added a little spice to our lives!

    Rest in Peace, Neil.

Yes can agree to all of that. Intelligent he was. I banned him once or twice in my days but eventually he forgave me

Well Neil didn't like our knitting circle that's for sure, but there was another side to him as there is to everyone. Towards the end I saw a little of the man behind the avatar and I have to say I think he would have been good company. You guys know this is my home, but I still contributed to a floral tribute.

I know. He would have appreciated your words, partcularly that "knitting circle" comment :bangin: and that you contributed :notworthy:  . He is part of the RWG history now and will live on in its threads  :gathering:
