  1. Son of a bitch....that is just sexy! I do like the quotes on his ebay storefront "...These leather pieces were handcrafted by a "maestro" of leather in southern Mexico, not in some dark and dank sweatshop by a 12 year old little orphan girl with whip marks on her back. FWIW, the shops and stalls of MBK and throughout thailand have gorgeous, solid, tough as f*ck leather bags...and I don't think the girls/guys of tland have whip marks on their back to make them though...maybe in the sweatshops of New York.... His bags look great and I would love to have one.
  2. I love this one. I would really love to see this one rep'd.
  3. I really like the Offshore Diver and 57th Street edition...sweet! Wish I could get one of those!

  7. Wow! You just made me go out and hug my 217! Its the EL 217 but nontheless, its the closest i'll ever get to one of these stunners. Congrats! We are all dying to see it in your new watch case! cheers
  8. The missing index marker at the 12 o'clock on the MBW was a deal breaker for me....Nahpiek needs to get that part fixed....i could live with the secs at 9 and maybe the dial spacing but in the end I went with the Cartel version...easily had on the 3rd floor in MBK.... And the Nylon/Kevlar EOD strap from Luca is a must! and thanks for the write up! cheers
  9. Stunning....awesome shots! I'm sure those flaws can be fixed.
  10. Jon, I voted for the RBII...I can live with its flaws and there are mods available to help with getting the watch back into spec. Oh, and no love for the Safari?
  11. Thanks for the posting! I'm still all thumbs though when it comes to these pieces. My hats are off to anyone with these skills or attempts to acquire them. cheers
  12. Here is one over on TZ for $4500.... http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4865233&rid=0 Its a K series....now that one is overpriced... cheers
  13. Good luck with this project. I just love this version of the vintage Newman daytonas!
  14. the 113 really should get more love....I had a gen but sold it as I picked up a really nice one from DSN that is pretty close. I sold the 113 (H series) for $3500 shipped. His price is "fair" but the market is really soft now... I'm waiting for someone to unload a nice gen AP ROO RC cheap....
  15. Fake 183 on egay 183 colors on paperwork look wrong and box placque is wrong
  16. Amazing! That is one fantastic piece with a lot of time and effort in it. I'm not much of a vintage Panerai guy but that piece makes me drool! bravissimo

There is an excellent seller on the third floor of MBK that has everything that the dealers here have...he'll even show you the differences in price and quality. I have his card somewhere... Yes, there are the canal types in some of the other stalls but there are also the super reps that the dealers here source. If the stall your at has crappy reps...move along as you're not at the right one. There is also Nahpiek's store on the bottom floor that makes the indestructable AP (secs at 9) model. He now seems to carry a lot of the super reps too...he just keeps them under the counter. When I was there last, a guy from Italy bought out his entire stock of MBK EOD (secs at 9) model. About 15 watches and was on his way back to italy. Another guy, from spain, was buying about 25 watches to take back with him to spain...i am sure other folks do the same, buy 'em and take them back to resale in their home country. If you're in bkk, its worth the madness of MBK to find the guys stall and handle all of his reps...the good ones are under the counter and you just have to ask, as he pretty much as everything! Forget the junk in the window.
  20. That is the IWC376704 not the Galapagos which a previous poster noted. The Galapagos is all black and one hell of a watch. I would love to have one.... The 376704 gen is awesome. I was lucky enough to handle one last month in one of the IWC stores. Dealer said that only the botiques have them at the moment. I was seriously considering pulling the trigger as it would be my first gen IWC...I really hope they rep this one and do it right as the colors are just so killer.
  21. I love this JPM model....nice pix and thanks for the post!
