  1. Many many years ago when I was twenty three, I got married

to a widow who was pretty as could be.

This widow had a grown-up daughter Who had hair of red.

My father fell in love with her, And soon the two were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law And changed my very life.

My daughter was my mother, For she was my father's wife.

To complicate the matters worse, Although it brought me joy.

I soon became the father Of a bouncing baby boy.

My little baby then became A brother-in-law to dad.

And so became my uncle, Though it made me very sad.

For if he was my uncle, Then that also made him brother To

the widow's grown-up daughter Who, of course, was my

    step-mother.

Father's wife then had a son, Who kept them on the run. And

he became my grandson, For he was my daughter's son.

My wife is now my mother's mother And it makes me blue.

Because, although she is my wife, She's my grandma too.

If my wife is my grandmother, Then I am her grandchild. And

every time I think of it, It simply drives me wild.

For now I have become The strangest case you ever saw. As

the husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa!!

  2. Ahh Ryy :)

Life has it's ups and it's downs. The trick is to look at the positives like I'm still walking, talking, fingers to key boards still work, travel is still standable although the 18 hours flights are starting to wear thin. All in all it is a pretty nice existence... but every so often I see this guy following behind me, and while I am sure he is not all that interested right now....who knows when.... ;)

  3. @jf...we all have Karine's in our lives. The highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows but they become indelibly part of our core fabric and no matter how long time or distance grows...they are still a part of us :)

It is a good thing and should be embraced rather than avoided.

    Thanks for openly sharing :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. A woman in a hot air balloon realized that she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted out to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend that I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am!”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re 30 feet above sea level. You’re at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees 49.09 minutes west longitutde.”

The woman rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Democrat.”

“Yah, I am,” said the man. “But how did you know?”

“Well,” she answered, “everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information and I’m still lost. Frankly, you haven’t been much help to me.”

The man smirked and responded, “You must be a Republican.”

“Yes, I am,” the balloonist replied. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going, you’ve risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air, you’ve made a promise you have no idea how to keep then expect me to solve your problem for you, and you’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met but, somehow, it’s now my fault.”
