Since I don't want the trouble of retapping, can you recommend a place to buy a good aftermarket crown that will drop in? (sort of like the aftermarket inserts)

Just had one of my mates round today and i was wearing my breitling chrono avenger Ti from PT. He noticed it and asked to have a look, i took it off handed it to him. He shuck it and had a little look and handed it back to me making a funny face?. I was a bit gutted at his reaction due to me thinking that this rep was real good?

Any of you guys have the same problem with freinds that do not like reps no matter how good they are ??

Also what watches out there feel as good or near to the gen ?? my next purchase is the Omega SMP from PT.

Why would you use glue? The inserts just snap in. I have never had one fall out, if I installed it properly. Just take care to not bend it while pushing it into the bezel.

The crown I have not is not very accurate, as I have the older model TW Classic.

i read a thread on tz about playing golf while waring a sub and they said the impact from driving the ball would not hurt the movement. the eta movement is world class and is used in thousands of watches. i don't know what the sound is you are hearing but i don't know how a dremal tool could have hurt it unless it caught it and slung it crashing into something across the room.

Do you have any idea what that pulsation is coming from my watch now? It occurs when I move it...

please dont do anymore mods on your watch until you read all of the repair and upgrade section's notes. You will learn how to remove the crown and stem, dial and hands.

Please do it! for your sake.

this may be too late, but you're suppose to take the movement out of the watch when you do mods on the case.

Also, what type of glue do you recommend if you want to take out the insert in the future (therefore excluding epoxies)? What comes from factory stock?

As I attempt to mod my TW Classic rollie, I used my Dremel tool to polish the edges of the case. Now I feel this vibration from inside the movement and I get a sneak'n suspicion that it's a release mechanism for overwind.

Can the vibrations from the dremel quickly overwind the Automatic ETA?

(Btw, my TW Classic insert measures 37.25 mm overall diameter with a 3.45 mm width. These are actual measured dimensions, not nominal...nomimal would be probably 37.7mm x 3.5mm)

Insert are cheap, get a couple and have several tries at milling/sanding etc. to fit the bezel. As the man said, there are members here who will be happy to help out with advice if things go [censored] up, so just relax and go for it. Job done, what you will also get is an enormous sense of self-satisfaction, which then gives you the confidence to attempt other mods, and go on from there...

Nah, I think that I would rather sit back and keep searching...
