Got one from EL a year ago...hands down my GF's favorite watch. Definitely get it...
Does anyone have any pic's of this watch?
-
You mean those new ones, with the fancy wave-pattern on top..?? Yes, I am also looking for those...
They have beautiful orig. ones all over Ebay, but they cost upwards of 160 shipped. I was hoping for something similar priced a bit better.
Anyone?

Obviously pride, shame, social status, career status, upward mobility professionally and socially, economic determinism and duping delight all have a role to play in why those who dare choose reps.
My reason? Chicks. Chicks love expensive watches. Makes my job a lot easier.
J/K folks...

Who carries those large boxes with all of the materials like the ones on Ebay for 150 USD?

Today, I got a package from Verbal Kint - I bought his MBW. It was a fascinating experience.
Sitting at my dining room table, I tore open the envelope - very bad idea. It turned out to be one of those padded envelopes that are packed with clothes dryer dust or something. What a mess.
Inside, I found a mummy of wrapped tape - I unwrapped, and unwrapped and unwrapped . . . realizing that I should have taken pictures of this and regretting that I did not. Finally, I exposed what appeared to be a washcloth.
Inside the washcloth, I found a smaller mummy of wrapped electrical tape - I unwrapped, and unwrapped and unwrapped and unwrapped and unwrapped . . . yes indeed, why didn't I get some pics.
Inside, I found paper towels wrapped round a watch.
What an amazing way to defeat Customs inspectors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL
VERY nice watch - thanks Robi.

Funny stuff!

I think that eyesurgeon is largely correct on the matter, although the above scenarios provide exceptions to the rule.
On the whole, if you are high profile and make bucks, even a poorly done rep. will be 100% convincing.
On the other hand, if you look like a scrub, then people may question your 25K watch (unless your a drug dealer).
So, either be rich or tell people that you are a drug dealer and you'll be fine...just buy the 60 dollar reps.
-
Thanks for the pic's Cwai!
-
The genuine is made from platinum and runs about $250K. there are lots of flaws in that version though.
Is there a comparison page link or a page with more information?
Does anyone have this watch?
What type of movement?
-
Looks like a work of art and offered by King (great dealer).
-
Your wife was right.
To answer your question, yes, wearing reps makes you a higher profile target for born-to-lose criminals.
-
Give her more time?
Brilliant.
Some (or one) of these rep dealer/s is/are rather "touchy," so I just want to make sure that I did not "offend" them in any wierd globalized way, ya feel me folks? Thx.

I just don't think the average sales person or owner really cares to stare at their watches with such minute detail. Coupled with the credibility of the wearer (does the watch fit the person/occassion), it is absolutely no surprise that even the 100 dollar units are thoroughly convincing.
I read this somewhere, "we are a strange lot, aren't we..."
-
I checked out the gen. and the dail was small, but the reading of the time didn't seem too bad. I wonder if this is a rep flaw?
Thanks Ubiq, btw.
-
Hahahaha... (Btw, I contacted King and she replied once but did not reply to my second email. Any thoughts?)
-
Hahaha....
Has anyone ever said that you sound like Bill Clinton? (I mean that in a good way)

Great convo this morning, Joe. I'll call you Monday.

Hi, Tribal:
I'm familiar with that website. This chaps runs a censored forum. I posted there once pointing out the high prices he charges and my post was deleted.
I suspect the 16610 is a TW Best which we can get from our trusted dealers for around $260. I seriously doubt it's the MBW which is very close to the TW Best down to the off center "Swiss Made". His year 2004 Y serial SD is also the TW.
Regards,
Jet
Being that I just bought a TW Classic, I gotta agree that it's probably a TW Best. But, there is a chance that it's a MBW, as both have off center "swiss made."

Thanks all! (and a big thanks to Joe who gave me valuable info!)

Since ladies' Yachtmaster is not a hot topic, what are your thoughts on the finest version of this little beast.
What is the most accurate ladies Rolex available and from what dealers?
Thanks in advance!

Now that everyone has had their .02 in, can someone PM me Joe's number?
-
In my opinion I wouldn't worry about the crystal... 99% of people wouldn't notice it. If however, it bugs the [censored] out of you then why not...
By the way, it's odd that you just got an lv without the etched crown. My LV does have the etched crown at the 6:00 position and I've had it about a year
I typed with haste...let me clarify, my crystal does have the etched crown, but if I were to replace the crystal, I would prefer one with the etching, as well.
Also, the thicker crystal would increase the magnification a bit. That would make the mag. spot on.
Thx.

"Andrew can vouch for me" now thats the lamest thing I have read during the last hour. Lets wait until Andrew arrives..and I am talking about royal prince Andrew
You're funny.
I PM'ed him twice and emailed him once. It's not an emergency or anything, just looking for some viable options that a phone convo could do in a few moments.
Since I am new, I wanted to introduce myself to him via phone, that's all.
If you guys are not comfortable forwarding his number, I can understand that.
Thanks for the help and link.

Excellent service from Andrew (TWG), first off.
I compared my LV to gen and the crystal does not appear to protrude out as far as the genuine. Is this just my eyes or should I opt for a modification?
I want real shaphire and preferable an etched crown at 6...
Thoughts anyone?

Can someone PM me Joe's number please? Andrew can vouch for me. Thx in advance gents!

You're very welcome!
It's actually a VERY good rep and it took me a few days to decide whether to sell it.
(don't worry about controversy, it always helps bring traffic to the site)
