  1. I just got home and the news is disappointing to hear that the seller was indeed a long standing member. But this is why the forums are here, to inform, watch out for each other and others, but most importantly have fun with this hobby. Great job on the admin team with this one! Ssssooo...anybody have any new and interesting projects! Let's see them!!!
  2. guys...were making assuptions here that the E-Bay seller is the same member on RWG...maybe he turned around and sold it to someone else or bought it for someone else...all I can conclude is that Ubi's 7032 is being sold on E-Bay and THAT seller is a scammer. It might not be an RWG forum member...innocent until proven guilty...I guess...
  3. true dat Nanuq...true dat!!!
  4. I agree with M. It's not your fault R...you can't help it if someone else tries to take advantage of your pieces...stop making them so accurate!!!!
  5. x...lets put it this way...Yuki sells the 9411 case for about $400 alone and sells a similar watch for $850...I'm sure you can talk Yuki and the ioffer guy down...sourcing better dial and handset~$168 (Yuki)...ioffer watch is $668 total...
  6. You could be right Ronin...it could be possible that rm88 sold the genuine bezel and some other person listed another NDT. But that being said, the E-Bay seller is still trying to take someone for a ride...
  7. It seems that some people like to take advantage of others...for $50k!!! I think this is Ubi's 7032 that he recently sold...the tells..."UNITS PER" has paint missing in the same spot, the "75, 85, 90" on the tach ring also has some paint missing on the same spots. Same hands, that are wrong. Looks like the seconds chrono hand was changed. Interesting that the seller doesn't show the model numbers between the lugs or the movement. I bet you it says 7031/0 and the movement doesn't have an engraved Tudor bridge. Is this all a coincidence??? http://cgi.ebay.ca/V...=item4aa4861694 Ubi's original sale posting here... http://www.rwgforum....__1#entry865753 What are your thoughts????
  8. The Yuki dial has way more problems than the InGod dial...IMO the InGod dial is more accurate in many respects...
  9. Nice M! You used the super tonneau shaped DW 6239 case afterall, it looks pretty good with the crown installed...
  10. It's all a matter of supply and demand...when DW (et al.) was hitting the sites with all of his Daytona cases, the V72 and related prices went as high as $1500. This was the same for the 7734 when DW had 7032 cases out. Now prices of the watches/movements are regressing a bit, because the case manufacturers aren't as promenient in their selling...you can get a V72 for under $900 and the 7734 has since settle back down to around the $300-$400 range.
  11. Feeling something gen-ish today...
  12. Beautiful! I love my 9420! You need to work the CG's a bit, they don't come flat out...
  13. hhhmmm...I do have a spare 2836 GMT and a spare 2846. I'll have to do some discovery work!!!
  14. Andy...isn't that a removal of the day gear that now drives the GMT? Plus, depending on the year of the 1655, it may be hacking, but a slow date adjust, you could fix that too! The only thing then would be the proper beat...
  15. Sweet! That looks like a gen service dial! Very nice S!!!
  16. One of my few gens...I love it, will never get rid of it. My son will most likely inherit it...
  17. Nice! That 5517 has seen a lot of action!!!!
  18. That is a DW dial. Far more accurate than the Yuki and NDT offerings. The important thing is the date window, as it should above the white minute track and smaller than the date windows on the Yuki. Another thing to look out for is how the black area of the sub-dials are finished. The border of the black should meet the tips of the markers. The fonts are closer to the gen also. THe NDT is only better to Yuki in the perspective of the date window, but otherwise the fonts are too bold and it looks like the paint was slapped on by a paint brush.
  19. it has a 7159 dial, but yet has a 7031 case back...wrong! Plus the hands are all wrong! More, the lume area should not have rounded corners...they look like the most current NDT 7031 hands and it has a 7734 in it..the 7159 should have a V234...oh and the crystal is in the wrong position...this watch is F*cked!!!
  20. Pics don't do that blue dial justice! It is actually spectacular in real life! Enjoy J!!!
  21. I agree...it would have been better for them to use the current 1655 and make that into a 1675...the CG's would at least be more accurate...
  22. Very nice work Dizzy! Curious question, since the 5514 didn't have any date function, how come you didn't go to a ETA 247X instead? It has the proper beat and you should have no problems with the fit.
