So weird. It sits low in the window. I know it wa sfine before. AS was the dial posistion.
-
The dial was lined up nicely ,ROLEXROLEXROLEX (as you can see inthe pic)was lined up with second makers on the dail and date was in the date window centered nicely.
After having some dust removed from dial and getting the movement running smooth, the watch works beautifuly as it should but,the dial it not lined up and the date sits low in the window.
I can post pics tommorw. It's not like wayyy of but it's slightly of now.
I was gonna have a clark crystal with one peice gasket put in and cg's trimmed so is the dial something a modder can get back correctly??
-
I agree. I've seen alot of that lately.
Watchmakers must have all decided to retire at the same time
-

Not sure what to pay for a genuine crown.

Was at a holloween party wearing my euromariner and my buddy says ""hey ill get my watch i paid $60.00 bucks for from china town in nyc and lets see how close they are .
he puts his next to mine and it was like comparing a shoping cart to an F1 car.
Date mag was waaaayyyyy off, almost no mag at all,the cyclops was so far to the right it was almost not on the watch, the whole watch looked bigger.
he was like "wow, you cant tell a difference can you??"
LOL......so glad i found this site and got educated from you fine folks.......
I'm hooked like a meth addict...........BK will be doing some mods for me.
Now i want it so close the the real thing you have to tak ethe back off the watch.

NICE!!!
-
Look a eurotimez euromariner.
When you buy a gen eta from chris he makes sure thats what you get.
I had mine open this week to have an adjustment done (no fault to chris) and it was verifed by the watchmaker as a gen eta
it's been reviwed plenty here and is an amzing watch.
-
Will be Sportin this at 2 holloween parties, and maybe the poker room
-
Just wondering since the back has been off (3 times, see my other threads) if the watch is still ok to swim with??
-
very nice congrats
-
thanks everyone.
whats cool is my wife told me to do whatever i want to it.
-
i'm sorry as well.
i thought you were GOING to buy it.
-
I would send it back claiming that it is not a Genuine Swiss ETA!!!
or
Claim that this is NOT an 'Ultimate' version by any means!!!
Nothing on the watch resembles the genuine article nor is there anything ULTIMATE about it...
I would ask him to send it back and get all of the "lite" models that "sub16610" is talking about above...
at least those resemble the gen in some manner!!!
EDIT: I would also press on you to READ and LEARN from this forum! Its here as tool to help you. take advantage of it, but mostly give back!
The good thing is, we have ALL done what you have done... i have plenty of reps that i bought when i should have just done some research and/or waited for the next model...
I have also bought almost every "new" submariner model there is hoping that one day, i can find something i wear more than my gen... (mostly to keep it looking good)
PP
Hes right on the money.
I was lucky found this site and bought a euromariner .
It was handled by 2 used rolex dealers this week. They thought it was gen.....and i haent had it modded ...yet.
-
yup biggest problem in the rehuat. iT looks to deep. And i'm a newb at this.
-
I luckily found this site while looking for a good sub rep.
I thought i'd spend 1-2 hundred bucks on a decent one.
Nope, after reading all the great info here i bought a euromariner with engraving. (still not sure about the engraving, but it's growing on me)
now,i'm ready to have my cg's done,insert,crystal,pearl,super lume......lol.
I'm hooked.
-
Very good.
I have a 2008 euromariner form Chris.
I saw mine apart today (watchmaker) and it looks exactly like the picture form ebay.
-
Thanks.
Turns out it wa something simple and he adjusted it.
good news is he is local and has no problem working on reps.
he verified it as a gen eta and said they were very good movements.
-
found local cert. watchmaker.
it was jerky beacuse something was to tight. (wheel spring??)
no damage and now it's smooooooooth after him adjusting it.

ok so this morning its not doing it. its running fine.
any ideas on what happened???
-
it always gets funky between 4 an 7 on the up climb it gets funky after 9 and it does it slightly at 12. Down sweep is smooth.
-
i cant really tell when i shake it.
I'm almost to the point where i want to sell it and start over.
-
It has a gen ETA in it from chris.
It WAS smooth, now it looks like [censored] in some spots. It looks like a fake now becuase of the funky ticking in some spots.
the hand looks like it actualy jumps or something.
WM9 and Euromariner ETA
in The Rolex Area
Posted
I Had my euromariner watch opened by a couple of different watchmakers and both commented on how nice the ETA movement was.
Both said it was a gen ETA movement and will last a very long time
