.....but the dealer is also wrong lashing out at me in public when I was dealing with him one and one and like some of you said, is only at the early stage and he made a big fuss on the board.
I am not a newbie here and I have purchase many watches from other dealers, I thought what I did was right in making sure our dealers will keep up with the customer service that all buyers should receive equally and no one loose their money. big or small amount.
Sam:
Please understand that buying and selling reps is illegal. What you did was the equivalent of turning in your Drug Dealer because you didn't get your cocaine you ordered. You aren't just turning the dealer in, you are turning YOURSELF in, as well as all of us for that matter.
If you notice, there are many, many people who are very, very angry at you. Perhaps it is time to consider what they are saying, despite what you think.

If you have any respect for any of us here, I implore you to cancel the claim/ inquiry/ dispute with Paypal immediately.

Sad news.
I particularly liked his solo work. Check out the songs "Rats' and 'Baby Lemonade'.

My experience with reps is this: The lume sucks- no exceptions.
The lume on my Black EXP II from Trusty is particularly lame.

To me, the whole point of this forum is to offer quality control to an unregulated, illegal business. The job of each member is to both support and police the products, dealers, manufacturers and other members.
If the dealers know we expect more, we will get more.

Statement like this makes you look like an idiot. Who are you trying to fool?
Can't you just accept that it is a nice watch? If you think it is not good enough for you, shut up, don't buy it and don't ruin it for the rest of us.
QUOTE(cosmosblau @ Jul 10 2006, 01:52 AM)Yes. This watch fools no one.
.....
Most of us do not purchase these watches to 'fool' people, and I'm sure that none of the members who bought this one did so imagining that it was a 1:1 replica, or with the objective of eventually claiming it that it is genuine.
We're past that, even if you seem not to be, cosmosblau.
Pehaps my choice in words was not the best. I'm truly sorry if your feelings were hurt. Obviously, this comment has injured some folks self esteem, and for that I apologize. I do not try to "fool" anyone with my reps, but was merely concurring with another poster that the dial on this watch is inaccurate, especially compared to many of the other reps I have bought. I am NOT past that and my comment isn't aimless. I have high standards and I want this rep to improve, because I want this one badly.
I may be an idiot, but one thing I know for sure is this: I won't stoop to hurling INSULTS AT ANOTHER MEMBER because my self-esteem is threatened by someones OPINION of an inanimate object.

Nearly all of our dealers are offering the IWC FA Jones with perfect design on the back
Unfortunately it is the CN version of the 6498.
I'm asking mt self which one is better to have. Anyway both are reps.
What you guys think
Imleg
To me, the numerals and the subdial look overprinted on all these watches: the font is too bold.
It still looks a little too fake to me- I'll wait for a better dial.
I'll probably have to wait forever.

Maybe someone can also tell me where to buy some good straps: http://www.europelli.com/ looks good, but quite expensive...
I appreciate your help
Don Ginsler has great PAM straps for cheap:

and the numerals on dial are to big... on genuine watch are numerals thinner
Yes. This watch fools no one.

I have Andrew's one. Get the one with the correct hand stack. It gets a lot of wrist time. Very very close to gen.
I got Andrew's also. It's very accurate, and the GMT hand works. After oiling the bracelet and polishing the watch, I can't take it off.

Does ETA even make a 2886 movement?

I should get mine today. Will report back when I do.
Does the water dropplet test work? I thought the only way to test to see if it is sapphire is to do a scratch test?
I think it's safe to take EL's word that it is not Sapphire.

Do you now have a problem with a wobbly shaft?
Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Here we go again!

This is kind of a personal question.

When I discovered this place and its dealers earlier this year, I felt I stumbled over a goldmine. As a watch addict, I am just worried that it will go away.
Every single disclosure to the legitimate watch trade is a threat to our very existence.
TELL NO ONE.

Welcome!
Since you're from Texas, we'll try not to use any big words.
-Just kidding!

This may have been posted before but I couldn't find any mention of this page on this forum.
Here are photos of all the Panerai models side by side:

Looking forward to the release of decorated swiss 6498 version with sapphire. Personally, movt reliability is important. Asian movts have given me so much trouble already.
Apparently, Trusty will soon be having this:
UPCOMING MODELS on TRUSTY TIME:
1. PAM187 47mm Submersible Chrono - Asia 7750
2. IWC FA Jones with Swiss 6498 (New Decorated movement) - SS and Rose Gold

Unfortunately, the watch has Mineral Glass!

The only terrorists are the ones who put the crappy Lume on these watches!

20% dixie. Not enough to Support Bush.
-
Got it from Angus - Puretime.
Great watch, great dealer as always!
Cheers!
Is this the same watch that Andrew is now selling?

IMHO that watch looks like $hit!
