  1. I just received mine yesterday. It's really nicely distressed and I put it on my Davidsen PVD. I will be buying more. especially with the 35% introductory discount they are running.

Very nice looking straps. 35% discount reflected on the prices listed on the site already I presume, or is there a discount code, etc?

  2. Hi there,

I have a relatively straightforward problem - date will only advance with hands advancing, not independently. I can hear a very quiet 'click' as I advance the crown in the position which it should be advancing the date...

    Quick fix or big pain?

Watch is losing 4 minutes a day anyway so servicing might be an ok idea.

    Thanks!

  3. As a relative newb who is off to a quick spending pace, I was hoping for suggestions regarding the more accurate chrono options available in the Radiomir case...

...is there some sort of consensus already around this question?

    Thanks!

  4. It sounds like maybe you got a gen. The gen Valjoux are notorious for vibrating. ;)

    Eddy

Yep, smack me on the butt and call me a newb.

You must be right. I was expecting some noise (never had a 7750 before) but the mailman must have had it really spun up or something. It's still keeping time and isn't setting off the richter scale any longer...

Sorry for the lame post

  5. I've contacted my dealer for help but also wanted to see if anyone in the community could help to triage my problem as I hope to give this to someone as a gift within the next few days...

As the mailman handed me the package containing my rep, I could hear what sounded like a winder spinning and feel some pretty intense vibration through the package.

After opening the package the watch looked great and it appears to operate correctly (subdial sweeping, keeping time so far, etc). But it sounds like the movement jiggles quite a bit inside the case and, when set down, there is a ton of vibration - like something is up with the winder.

The watch is a PAM 049 with the new Asia 7750 movement...

I don't suppose this will go away on it's own (being as there is no way it's 'overwound') ? If not, an easy fix for a local repair shop? Common problem?

    Cheers! :victory:

  6. Pardon if this has been addressed before, but is there any difference between the Asian and the Swiss 111Hs outside of the available (non-functional) swan neck?

Anything more attractive regarding mod options with the swiss v. asian versions?

Just trying to determine if the extra $100 is worth it... that said, don't know if the movement even looks close to gen in either case.

    Cheers!

  7. Mrs Pugwash is eyeing my 111h a little too intensly, saying in an unsubtle way how pretty it is. You must have a 111h lying about: let her try it on. Tell her that there are loads of fashionable straps that fit it and watch her accesorising gland kick in.

This approach makes a ton of sense, thanks for the advice. I've seen that movie before as well ;) Nice to have a proof point on the 111's appeal.

    "Get a 127, 217 or 187"

    lol... excitement of the moment

  8. Hi,

Want to get my wife an every-day, sportier looking watch on a strap - something to complemet her FM conquistador. Was thinking a PAM would be fun to try... anyone with suggestions? 183 (too dressy?), 210, 48? She's petite, any photos of PAMs on lady wrists?

I don't own a PAM yet, have been waiting for a better 212 rep to come out while mulling a 111H in the meantime... maybe an excuse for a double purchase? :D
