  2. Though the crown sits closer but the cg is yucky and what sup with the painted canon pin?
  3. There should be a forum dedicated to franken :D You think?
  4. I share your opinion FM BTW, can you point me to the other reviewer?
  5. Hi Turbo, It is rather intriguing to learn what other people thought of reps especially someone who are pro genuine isn't it? In any point, I'm very certain that every video or even a post has a point of their own to convey. That dude who did the review obviously is there to bring down reps as best as he can but it looks like he's quite uncertain in many ways. Maybe he's in awe with the quality and that it only cost that little. Like FM mentioned, he couldn't even tell whether its a H series or not. Better still from my observation, he can't even tell apart between a BRACELET and a STRAP Pun intended. I'm not here to make war A rep is a rep and not the real deal, it is design to have flaws. That's the rep game or industry That's where the franken comes in to fill the void but they are costly to build. Turbo, you got a beautiful watch and if you were to compare, the nightmares never ends Enjoy your watch, like everyone says, they are as good as they gets and the beaut of it is, it only cost just a small fraction from the real deal. Cheers, Rob
  6. That's a beaut! and pictures too! Noticed a few of your shots were reversed, that's neat BTW, is this a v1, 2 or 3? Cheers, Rob
  7. Was navigating the web a while ago and thought I'd do a search on Pams on the tube. There are a handful, below are 2 I found most interesting. Spoilers: Ah, the classic sapphire test, don't you love that Plus not forgetting the background music There's also another video that might be of interest, a 111H rep review.
  8. Well said arc My cheap & cheerful PAM always manage to work its magic
  9. Just had a look at the site, the black buffalo is gorgeous
  10. Thanks guys That was the main idea behind the article, just images The original was great but as FGD mentioned, it's rather difficult to read sometimes. Beside this article, I'll be compiling more and google docs it for future reference Cheers, Rob
  11. Hi VDB, Those are genuine articles The reference is a great source for mods tho
  12. If I'd pay a grand for a great copy at least I wanted mine to be slightly more exclusive as in having a different serial on the case back.
  13. I'm sure the original link is somewhere but nevertheless: http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dg3j2kb3_4fjk6qccb Cheers, Rob
  14. There's 1 I know as well. PM me if you are interested.
  15. Here wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Cheers, Rob
  16. Hi Toad, Yea, the film works pretty good. Winding without popping out the lever works too.
  17. Tiger, I've got the same idea as yours but the other way round which is to put a 005 case back onto a 111H. Should I get bored with the dial, I'll then swap the dial out to a super lumed 005 Cheers
  18. One more shot. Different shade. Cheers
  19. Absolutely Cheers, Rob
  20. Hi folks, Thought I'd share my experience on the process of CG pin fix. Recipes: 1) Sand paper (150 Grit - Fine) For sanding down the inner guard (they are very rough), also to get a tighter closure for the crown/lever. 2) Crystal protective film (thick) that comes with most watches A small piece to be inserted together with the pin. Note: The finishing of the CG, non visible/hidden area are horrendous. My next task is to smoothen out those areas and change all screws. Photos as follows... Cheers, Rob
  21. Fixed mine the moment I got hold of the watch The pin fix is very easy, all you need is a thin piece of plastic to go in between the pin. I understand it is darn irritating while winding the watch/crown where the lever flip back and forth or it'll just pop open. You won't be disappointed after the fix
