  1. Really thanks, T. and jraines!

    And all who chimed in.

@Fidestro: you are right, the scenario you figured is even what happened on me as the buyer on one occasion.

But knowing that a post was edited is of no help here: there's no track of the pre-edited post, and knowledge that a post was edited is no evidence of its former contents, or poster's mala fide.

So I thank the mods for restoring the former behavior.

Also, if you're participating in a thread where you may buy a watch, you can quote the selle's post (as I have done with sssurfer's above) and the original seller can not change it.

  2. A question for the Admins & Mods, s'il vous plais.

It's a few days that, anytime I edit a post of mine, a "This post has been edited by sssurfer:..." line appears at the bottom of the post.

This was not happening before and I loved it, as I am no native English/American speaker so I often have to edit and re-edit my posts countless times. I believed this was due to my Supporter status and it was a benefit of that status.

    Was I wrong?

Would you re-establish that former behavior?

    Thanks,

    sss

That is an option that can be changed. I'll run it by ADMIN to see if we want to cut that option off.

  3. LYON, France • A French Muslim couple who sued a hospital after their son was born heavily handicapped were instead fined 1,000 euros yesterday for refusing the presence of a male doctor during labour.

Mohammed Ijjou was born severely handicapped on November 8, 1998 as a result of neurological complications during birth.

According to the appeal court ruling, his father Radouane Ijjou physically barred a male intern from entering his wife's room for half an hour, citing religious reasons, after a midwife asked for help with the labour.

  4. J, you're in Concord?

I'm in Charlotte. Lyndonville is in CLT, too and we have a couple of guys just down in SC.

We need to arrange a Carolinas GTG!!!

Actually.... behind the speedway in Harrisburg. I'd love to have a GTG. Seems all the GTG's are always too far for me to travel.

  5. Wow! I am so happy to be back at RWG! I forgot how much I loved this place and all of the great personalities in the community. It's been almost two years since I've set digital foot in here (I frequented RWG1). The best gathering of people I've ever experienced online, without a doubt.

    Cheers all,

    FFF

Did your old userid disappear? want to change this one to just fahfahfooey?

  6. That is a bargain. I'm paying $2.50 per litre here in the UK. I might as well slit my wrists and fill my car up with blood.

Yea it's high there but imagine you buy a SUV or something and in 5 years you're paying $7.50 per litre. That's why we're complaining here in the US. I bought my SUV in 2004 when gas was about $1.75 per gallong and now it's $4.00 a gallon. I can afford it, but I can understand those having a hard time paying for it now.

    5 year cost

  7. Hello guys,

Trying to PM 'kenberg' but sometimes forum seems to stuck and pages does not load. Have no idea if he ever received my PM, so curious if I can contact him by ICQ or AIM or somehow else? Want to get some stuff from 'Bergies' section...

He should be on sometime afterwhile. I'll point him to this thread.

  8. Ziggy,

I'm sure Dani meant no harm, and I don't think anyone would question you about it. Things like this have happend to other members, in other places. I think he was just frustrated that his items were stolen and wanted to tell the story. I don't think Canadian customs are any better or worse than any other country after reading this. Sad to say, but theives come from all countries
