  1. Thanks Rocket for all of your effort. It's unfortunate that it had to happen like that, but we all thank you for the time and effort that you have put in on your own accord. God knows how long we have been talking about getting it done. But you had tried all that you can, and perhaps it is blessing in disguise that we may run into another dial maker that may be better than this manufacturer in random. Thanks again.

  2. Rob, thank you for your usual great reviews. the first thing that I'll be looking from this point on is the shock absorber. I think that will be the easiest for us n00bs to start out at. The click wheels are a big tell; but unles you take out some parts, you are not going to see that. I think Angus is advertising his new Ingenieur with double AR with either true ETA, and Asian Copy ETA. so that is good on his end. Again, thanks for the nice review Rob, and I can't wait to get my EVO back.....

  3. you guys are all lucky bastards!!!! I hate you all. ;) I got my 1680 from George, which has a 2824 in it! and cannot be swapped. I got the news that it is 2824 after all the mods have been made, and after I have bought my 2846. Then The Zigmeister informed me that mine is one of the rare ones (which he has not seen before) that was outfitted with a 2824. so is it really true that this can't be done? I am sure that The Zigmeister is right on this, but I feel so sad that I come so far with all the modding, then get stopped there, and have to stick with the fast beat one. any other idea on how to address this? and no, I do not have enough money for a 1575, as Randy was trying to talk me into it......any ideas? anyone?

  4. Hi Rolexman,

thanks for supplying the gen photo. well fellas, I think in this case the rep datewheel on the 2824 would suffice. Since image wise they are visually close, and it probably would be too much effort also to have someone maybe send their gen wheel to Lello to get the graphics going. So I think we may just close this project at this time. thanks for all those who have replied, and I apologized for not knowing in depth of how the graphic is rather different than in the chrono. Thanks again everyone!

I don't want to spoil anything but the BCE's and SOSF's font are different. I know as I owned a gen SOSF and my neighbour owns a gen BCE. The BCE's font is way thicker!

The rep's current font is actually very good.

    My gen:

  5. I have a rough count of maybe 15 so far based on the reply. Brian, I sent you an email, because I actually have to mail my watch out to Zig, for him to take out the crystal and AR, and ship it to you. so if you can let me know ASAP as to when I can ship out to him, I would really appreciate it!

  6. greetings ladies and gentlemen,

I have bought from recent lello project, a Breitling DW for my BCE. with the recent special pricing of SFSO from Silix for his ETA models, I am really thinking about buying one at that price. At the same time, I thought that it would be nice if it had a proper datewheel. So I had emailed Lello last night, asking him if I do buy a SFSO, could I just buy another DW from him and install it on the 2824. Lello said that it would require to do a new project, as the DW he produced are for the 7750 models. and he said if there are enough interests, he would possibly look into it. also assuming that the font size on the 7750 is the same as 2824, then we can have a go possibly. so this I guess is a feeler to see how many people would be potentially interested in a DW for SFSO. Lello had told me that even if it is just 10 people, we can have it a go. But that having 20 interested people would drop the price down 5 euros more. so guys and gals, post in here, if you are interested. thanks.

PS. I will also post this thread in Breitling subform. if it is inappropriate admin, please remove the post in either subforum

if you are interested, please post in one subforum only. Thanks.

LG shows off Rolex cellphone concept

Posted Oct 10th 2007 1:31PM by Donald Melanson

LG has already teamed up with Prada and Roberto Cavalli on a couple of fashionphones, and it now looks like it might be ready to work with another similarly high-end brand as well, with TechDigest catching sight of a Rolex concept phone the company recently had on display. Unfortunately, LG doesn't seem to have allowed any pictures of the mysterious yet surely classy phone to be taken, although TechDigest has thankfully provided a description of it to make up for that unfortunate absence. Apparently, the centerpiece of the phone is a presumably-genuine Rolex watch-face that's embedded in the casing, which gets complemented by "luxurious leathery exterior," all of which reporetedly looked "reassuringly expensive." While there's no word on a possible release, or any evidence of Rolex's direct involvement for that matter, TechDigest says the phone, and other other concept devices on display (including one with a " fully transparent keypad"), were all "pretty well manufactured," which suggests a release could at least be possible.

  9. wow, that dial has some resemblance between a planet ocean and the current generation of seamaster....I guess the design can always get "recycled", am I right? Thanks Rob for the usual great work and for taking the time to take these pictures.
