  1. I agree, I had the 3707 and it's very similar but doesn't have the internal bezel and is a couple of mm smaller. The 3719 is perfect size and appearance and I really love it. It can be bought for a reasonable price for an IWC, my only complaint is the movement isn't an in house one but a modified 7750.

  2. Well, gents. Looks like the bracelet in the auction is the correct size and at ~$240 is quite a steal for a GEN IWC bracelet that retails for $1900. I got lucky on this one but my 3719 is now on a bracelet and really transforms the watch. Everyone who says it looks better on a bracelet is a 100% correct.

You are looking for a rare, rare asset.. Good luck!

I recognize this, coveted rep and only rep'd with the steel bracelet, you never know until you ask though. I did read, unconfirmed though, that the rep bracelet is a perfect match for the GEN case.

    Can anyone confirm this?

  4. Hi All-

I was fortunate enough to purchase a GEN 3719 a few months ago, its on the rubber strap and while I like it the steel bracelet is a must and I'm trying to find one.

Does anyone know if the REP bracelet will fit the GEN case? Anyone have a Aquatimer GST bracelet they don't use and I can buy?

    Thanks!

  5. Craig- I agree that some of the version improvements are pre-planned so people on boars like this will keep demanding fixes and therefore buying new watches. They have always done that, fix one flaw but create another where a v1 had a perfect lugs/case (whatever) v2 then screws that up but fixes a dial issue.

Are the LB and LN V2s the current versions Sub C versions? What dealer sells those (or do they all sell them)? I personally have always loved the LV and prefer the older versions without the ceramic bezel to those with the ceramic. TC will be getting my order soon for one of his LV's

  6. Alright, I apologize in advance for this question but I have been out of the rep world for a while and am now just getting back! After not being active for over a year it seems as though some things in the rep world have changed for the better. The H-Factory when I left was the best game in town and now it looks as though they have moved on to other brands and makes, that's a huge step in the right direction. The price vs. quality imbalance seems to have corrected itself from the posts I have read and great quality watches are now at reasonable prices.

    Question-

    Sub c-

Seems as the sub c is a hot topic but in my search I could not find any reviews of it, last time I was here BK had the best one and it was just ok. Has that changed? Is the new sub c offered by Angus, Sead and the Cartel all coming form the same factory and the same quality? Anyone have a review or link to one that I can read? (I did search and couldn't find one!, so I don't want any use the search button smart ass answers!!)

    16610 and 16610LV

Are TC and BK still the best games in town? Are any of the other factories making off the shelf anything close to what they offer as far as build quality and detail? I see BK's prices have dropped since I bought his LV v1 and TC is essentially the same price as the old BK's.

    Thanks for your help guys!!

  7. I'm in Chicago so Speedy is an option. The balance wheel takes about a 1/4 of a second to stop once it's turned right side up. This watch was built by Vac and it was serviced a few years ago when he built it. I will check the blue screws but dont want to dig too far into it as things usually get worse before they get better if I start tinkering. Also, its a Swiss movement.

  8. So my 111h started having issues today after a few years Of ruining flawlessly. The movement simply stops when it is face up but has no issues running when upside down or on turned on either side. Weird right? I assume its a simple fix but am wondering what the issue might be?

    Any guidance is appreciated.

  9. I picked up a black dial Ingy in trade, its my 3rd one and I have no idea why I ever trade these things. They are so well built and look classy and sophisticated on the wrist.

I do however have some modding questions beyond the normal Lello DW and Chief AR.

The bracelet clasp spring is somewhat weak and does not always stay closed, I put some duck tape around the post where the clasp locks on and it actually has improved it. Only a micro amount where you can't see it at all even when looking at the post. I am looking for a more permanent solution, is it possible to replace the spring on the latch with one that holds more tension?

The case back has some sharp edges too and it can be uncomfortable on the wrist, is there a way to buff out or sand out some of the rougher edges on the case back without damaging it?

  10. I checked all the dealer sites, Josh has them up but has not responded to my email yet, no one else has them. I just wanted to check and see what the members thought the chances were of finding a dealer with them in stock or if my chances were better finding one from another member?

My real interest is in the black dial SS 3707, what do you all think?

  11. You will need the 0.9mm one, otherwise you would have to buy a different stem in order to use the 1.2mm one. Be warned though, that these crowns have deep dishes, aren't spring loaded, and have a deeper threading socket, therefore you will need to shave down the existing stem to bring it to the right height and your CG lever should have a long tip.

Doing this is properly not the easiest thing, and will require a lot of 'hit and miss' usually the first time around. So you may want to make sure you have an extra stem or two ...

Thanks bud, sounds like it might be easier to find a spring loaded crown instead of screwing with the the stem and possible ruinning it. Is that about right?

Any idea on where to source a spring loaded A7750 crown and stem?

  12. I am looking to put a SS Crown on my 091 project and need your help here figuring out what will fit.

These crowns are for sale by another member, however, I am not sure if they will fit an A7750 movement. Can anyone tell me if these SS crowns in the for sale thread will work for the auto movement.

    Thanks!

    Mike
