  1. Does the orange writing look FADED to you guys? there is no gen in my town to compare against.... shot in a dimly lit room shot indoors by a window with a bright sunny day out. shot completly outside on the same bright sunny day as #2
  2. Not a sapphire as the crystal has two short but visible scratches.
  3. Ihave apparently here a Noob DSSD But look at that crystal. This is on the inside of the crystal. I already have taken it apart and cleaned the crystal with liquid lens cleaner. when i thought i did a good job, i put it back together and sure enough its still there. Is it a cloudy flaw inside the crystal or is it just really dirty and i need to do a better cleaning yet again?
  4. My friend has one and I checked it out today. It is a stunning piece. Good quality worth $250 What do you think?
  5. What kind of tools say, around the house could I use to do the job? I do have a real basic watch repair tool kit ...
  6. Wow... Quite a mystery. Tried to unscrew a bezel:nothing Tried to pry bezel off: did nothing but dent the bezel and case!! What to do?
  7. this watch in the photos. i opened the caseback thinking i could get to the dial the way i do with most watches....but NO. the dial is larger than the opening in the back... do i have to go to the front and remove the crystal...?
  8. I am somewhat puzzled so hence my question. I have this Batman Rolex GMT that runs great and has good power reserve. But here is the mystery: If I wear the watch steadily, I mean 24 hours a day, everyday (at work, to bed, so all day), the watch keeps good time and will gains seconds and maybe up to a minute after almost 5 or 6 days...(this is not scientifically measured). But if I dare to take it off and place it on a table, contrary to the "tricks of easy regulation". The asthma will gain time faster, like a minute or more over night! The "tricks" I mention are: 1-crown position down: slows down the watch 2-crown position up: slows the watch down even more 3-watch flat on the table, dial up: speeds the watch Well, here is the twist: if I place my watch in any of the position, it only does one thing: gains time fast and overnight can gain up to a minute or a little over a minute. Me, I don't know how can that be? What is going on?
  9. Both are priced almost the same... The TITANIUM Avenger is the closed factory version with the a7750 (seconds @9)...nice manly 45mm size.... The BB is the first batch. You can only buy one? So, which one would it be?
  10. What do you think? your cheap 21j. LV? or a decent one?
  11. Actually Justin, the member I bought this watch from says YOU installed this movement.. Could you confirm? PM me if you wish this to be private.
  12. Guys, i need all your expertise here.... What kind of movement is this? thanks
  13. Ok Changing what goes on my wrist too much is a fault I admit... I got my hands on a good deal for this Tissot: a mere $350 for that Tissot. I CAN SELL THIS AND IF I ADD ANOTHER $300, i finally get that Tudor from the Pawnshop: AAAHHHH the dilemma... one is 42mm the other is 34mm but a classic....
  14. well... tried at $500 but they stay firm at $600 walked away from it but with my money still in my pocket... what to do now
  15. well i did go back but i tried once more to negotiate and today, I might get their answer ... trying to get it for $500... crossing fingers...
  16. Well today I am going to the shop and if its still there, I will take it...
  17. welll but i am like that with all watches cause I actually love em..all... I even catch myself liking some brands like Invicta and Orient or the new Zodiacs...

  19. Hey guys. I really thought I would have kept at least one but... here it is. I bought this from a member on another forum and he as well as me do not know which version it is but it sure looks good. Confirmed Swiss ETA and has been serviced and cleaned so its good to go for a few years. Keeps absolute perfect time. (About a minute fast per month) DISCLAIMER: I bought the watch this way: the bezel is frozen, stuck, wont move. But I have NOT the skills to look into it so maybe the new owner can... Crystal is flawless Crown screws in perfectly Waterproofed during the service. All is quite well, really. $180 shipped with tracking
  20. uuhh.... yeah...sorry The Citizen was in the way... Tudor it is. Year 1970 and some acronym engraved on caseback (retirement gift I suppose) Bracelet is folded links, Rolex signed, 19mm crystal is pretty nice considering its the original...
  21. After work I stopped at my favourite pawnshop and found this litlle gem. Its apparently the owner of the pawnshop's and he tagged it at $995 but will sell it to me for $600 Is it worth it?
  22. 52mm Leviathan One whole pound of steel 55mm with the crown and pushers. Superbely well built and finished but.... is it just ridiculously too big?
