  1. Hi,

after the server crash, I`m happy that everything is working :-)

So a local dealer in Switzerland located at Basel, offers this one:

    ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL from 1965

SUBMARINER REF. 5513 REG. 166X*** (ROGER MOORE)

in good condition, not polished, zertificate, box, kroko band, nato strap

Sorry got no better pictures right now.

What do u think, its real? (If I gonna buy it, anyway I`m going to take it to a local AD to have it checked)

What do u think is it worth?

  2. Seeing as this review was originally aimed at comparing with my goods I feel I should make a response.

However I think the pictures posted here speak for themselves.

    Ken

    Hi Ken,

I compared it to the gen, but youre right, the pictures speak for themselve. But I would like to place on order from you. Then I can compare gen vs dy vs yours.

  3. Great great review!! The real questions are. Would you order again from diystorm and how does the quality compare to other rep dealers such as Bergies? It sounds as Ken's stuff may be more consistently higher quality. What about price?

Gonna say 1st one is real too!!

Yes I would order again from distorm, but "only" Ed Hardy,A&F and True Religion. I washed the clothes this evening and have to wear it to really tell.

This price is cheap, with ems express shipping u have to add 2-5$ to each item, but the itemprice is really low.

I`m interested also in other dealers such as Bergies, if he can source better Lacoste items for example.

  4. So I received my items from www.diystorm.com^^

It was sent with ems express on the 16th and I got it today. I had to pay much to my customs(about 50$) I dont know really why, but thats our custom system. They dont block the items but let u pay a lot... But I also made a cloth orders over 400$ on other dealers and payed less. Have to check this.

I own fake clothes and the real ones. Im into fakes since 2008 and nobody ever noticed that I wear fakes. Good friends of mine knew it trough me. Some were shocked and thought they were real.

So lets start the review. First the order was 100% correct in size, colour and printing. Most of them are a little bit dirty(I did not clean them up to make the photos, there just out of the box).

I review here Ed Hardy fake vs Gen, Lacoste Fake vs Gen, Ralph Lauren Fake vs Gen.

Then I review True Religion Jeans, La Martina Shirts, Abercrombie & Fitch Shirts

Lets start with Ed Hardy, Ive ordered 2 shirts for me and 2 for my girlfriend. Overall great quality, but the first one is the worst Ed Hardy.

I dont like the bad printing on this fake one, look at the real shirt in the next image.

The next one Ralph Lauren, overall not bad, the textile feels good. The printing/sticking could be better.

So thats it, I`m tired now ;-)

Overall, make yourself a picture. The quality is mixed, but thats always in the rep world of clothes. Some are very good some are from not so good to bad.

  5. Great answer man, thanks!

    But two question remain:

    1. does Rolex have any visible serial numbers? How does replicas "handle" this?

    2. Some guy wrote that he would prefer a vintage replica because of that the wear would make it look more genuine. So the question is can you buy a vintage replica somewhere? :)

    2. If youre a noob, dont go with vintage replicas. You can buy some, but they have some major flaws. A high beat movement for example. With a high beat movement the seconds move smoother then with a low beat. And that is a big giveaway. If u want go into modificate youre watch, then u can start a vintage project. But if u just want to buy a watch that looks like the real one without mods, I would say stay away from vintages.

If any other expert has to add something, just do it. I`m just capable to help some beginners, not really an expert :-)

  6. Thanks for a great tip!

What does the "serial" thing mean? Does this one have a "better" serial than the cheaper one? I've always wondered about replicas serials. Could anyone tell me how that works?

And what excactly does this mean: "A Genuine Steel GMT watch was stripped down for this replication exercise."?

On a V-Serial theres ROLEXROLEX engraved on the rehaut. With M-Serial there`s no ROLEXROLEX engraved there. In the past the ROLEXROLEX engraving was a bit off, it was not exact on the markers. So the M-Serial was preferred in the past because of this.

But I got the information from here:

That the new V-Serial engraving is correct.

    Now about the

"A Genuine Steel GMT watch was stripped down for this replication exercise."

U can make a rep from a watch just with pictures, or u got the real one to strip it down and make a more accurate rep. But U cant trust on these words overall. Nobody knows if they really had a genuine one for this.

I will also order this watch in january :-)

  7. Hi!

Im a big n00b on replicas as I only own a genuine Omega. But I've been looking in to replicas as they seem to be good enough for me and SO much cheaper. So: I want to buy a replica submariner. But as I said I've no clue on how to know whats good and whats not when it comes to replicas. I dont even know any sites or ebay sellers... So I will rely on you guys!

From what I can see this $128 watch i fine but not great. Im willing to pay $200-300 in order to get a Submariner that no one could spot as a fake if they werent a watchmaker or something like that... Or am I asking for too much? In that case, I just want a damn good rep for that kind of money, with saphire crystal and a decent movement. Where can i find that :D? Please help me, every answer is appriciated!!

    http://www.1-pc8838.com/000rlss00088-2008-submariner-asia-3135-serial-p-7851.html

take this one with swiss eta on the movement^^

  8. The visual difference can be worlds apart In person, just saying. Still the $128.00 Rolex is a fine watch for the money. Also remeber that more expensive reps will have a saphire crystal as opposed to mineral crystal that can scratch. If It does Indeed get scratched It can be very difficult to remove the scratch. A scratched crystal would be a dead give away to it's origin.

Yes I own a noobmariner with swiss eta and the "old" steel.(316L)

I read some things about the 316F steel hype. Some one found out thats its not real "316F" steel, but in person its looks so much better compared to the steel on the noobmariner.
