  1. Yes I reported it but even though it must have received quite a few reports it wasn't pulled..
  2. This guy must be a bit of a clown cos he shows a pic of the back where the serial number should be.
  3. I bought a 42mm PO on a rubber strap and was very pleased with the transaction, good comms and fast delivery. The only thing I didn't like was the credit card transaction pages which were abit shaky and indicated that the transaction hadn't gone through although everything was fine. The watch and rubber strap was excellent.
  4. Wow I really like that lefty Kobold - who reps that knifecollector?
  5. Interesting question..i have thought about this alot. I bought an Alpha PO homage and i thought it was OK - it wasn't until a WatchEden PO rep arrived that I realised the Alpha wasn't that great. Its reserve isn't too hot and can stop over night the finish is alright for the money but the PO rep is soooo much better. I would call it almost refined nicely finished lovely blue tint to the glass and great reserve. These watches were about the same price this forum really finds some bargains in the watch world.
  6. My thinking with reps is that if you buy something that isn't very 'bling' you stand a greater chance of not being asked about it / found out. That gold Rolex watch is really going to shout this is fake this is fake..like the last poster said keep for special 'suit' occasions and get a Sub or PO beater that will still look good after 6 months and age gracefully for everyday wear - just my 2 cents
  7. I've always thought how do you tell if the waterproofings been done if you haven't got tools to check, which is why you're asking for it to be done as you haven't got the tools... I did wonder whether for most dodgy dealers its a way of squeezing more money from you..
  8. THats interesting..in my above post the guy with the Bell & Ross lets people who he doesn't like think that the watch is genuine, others who are his friends he's quite happy to tell them its a fake!
  9. Someone I was working with today put their 'Bell & Ross' on the table and while he was out of the room I had a quick look. Very nice watch I thought he came back and I said "great watch" he said "thanks - its a fake!" couldn't believe it..great quality, would never have guessed it. I was wearing a fake PO but he didn't ask about mine so I didn't mention it. Just proves even us collectors can get fooled outside of our particular rep areas of interest. Must prove that for your average Joe they would never know whether a watch was genuine or not (exclude Rolex) or even think to guess.
  10. Hi spachev, i'm a newbie too and it seems everyone says why trust an unknown dealer when you can have a great transaction with one of the recommended dealers......i've just bought my first rep (Omega PO 42mm) from WatchEden brilliant deal - all due to the great advice from this forum.
  11. I thought I would put some points down as a newbie to rep watches and thinking about the plus/cons of moral-ish decisions on buying a rep. Before I bought a rep Omega PO 42mm I thought long and hard about buying it, I
  12. Just discovered that the helium valve unscrews and screws back again - doesn't do anything ha ha, but very nice detail that I wasn't expecting..
  13. Just measured the strap it is 20mm across, although it does look a tight squeeze between the lugs.
  14. Possibly the craziest (watch related) item i've seen this year!
  15. My Planet Ocean 42mm arrived from WatchEden (thanks!) and i'm pretty pleased with it overall. Its my first rep watch so I decided to take some snaps - first time i've photographed a watch and its pretty difficult i'm sure I can improve over time and practice. I was going to wait for Narikaas offer but the plastic strap on this one swung it for me. But now i've got the rep bug I might well buy one from him as well maybe put on a NATO (?) As to the plus / minus points..Good dealer as far as i'm concerned WatchEden good comms, no customs probs and turnaround 1 wk from order. The strap I really like, the watch is well finished, heavy n chunky and solid. Haven't tried the lume yet. My only slight criticism is the slight smudge in the dial printing but its only seen through a lupe and how many of us look at other watches with a magnifier (!) So all in all a great purchase (especially for plastic strap fans) for
