  1. You're probably right! If screws were the only issues. And anyway, everytime I try to screw back them in, these chinese screws immediately get their heads thread damaged because they are made of poor steel. Yes, there are solutions, but the one and only solution to have a rep watch without issue is.. to not have one. I know I'm quite pessimistic but I'm here since 2008, I've owned neary 100 reps and I hardly remember a watch free of troubles.
  2. Hello guys this is a "nervous breakdown" of my replica watch passion.. why? I tell you my experience: I started this game by buying the cheap ones. I had several quality issues: screws falling down on the typical 108$ watches. but, as the passion was growing, the confidence too, I decided to step up to the "A grade 1:1" replicas. and after some months with those, what happens? my Evo Hublot looses an H screw on the bezel. my secs@12 AP has movement issues and rubberclad quality issues. my 187G PAM looses parts from the bezel. so, how is it? is this game never going to be troublefree? but mostly: are we condemned to throw in the trash every watch we buy (given in consideration that spare parts are impossible to find to fix them?) I'm very tired of all this.. and tempted to lock them all in a drawer until I'm rich enough to buy me a gen AP and forget about all this. cheers! (happy to read your comments..)
  3. Hmmm I just realized - watching gen pics - that the case is completely wrong, being the case of the steelfish. They have very different connections to the (rubber) strap, and the replica of the GMT uses the regular super ocean case, which is wrong. Too bad :-(
  4. Hello guys.. I noticed this new rep came out in the last days.. any opinion about it? looks quite correct to me (but I am no Breitling expert..) http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=9060 (black dial) http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_144&products_id=9059 (white dial and more pics) http://www.watcheden.net/breitling-super-ocean-gmt-automatic-black-bezel-with-black-dial-rubber-strap-i-130212-p-1.html (black dial more pics) thanks!
  5. thanks!! is he here by the way? can't find him in the members search.. ?
  6. Hello guys the most boring topic: I have my sec@12 that needs service. anyone can suggest a watchsmith in Europe? and share experiences? thanks!
  7. Hello, anyone can suggest a watch service shop in Barcelona? thanks!!
  8. Hello I have a deep passion for the Tudor Monte Carlo 7032. I often see some of these replicas on sale in the forum.. but never found a seller for that! I mean, not the ones on the second hand market.. I've read of a "DW case" and so on, meaning these pieces can only be built buying separately case, movement and other rare parts? or is there any kind of seller that could provide a complete watch? thanks!
  9. freddy is exactly right.. Steve was very smart in using/marketing other people's inventions.. that with his contribution wouldn't be such a success. from Wikipedia: "Jobs returned to his previous job at Atari and was given the task of creating a circuit board for the game Breakout. According to Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, Atari had offered $100 for each chip that was eliminated in the machine. Jobs had little interest or knowledge in circuit board design and made a deal with Wozniak to split the bonus evenly between them if Wozniak could minimize the number of chips. Much to the amazement of Atari, Wozniak reduced the number of chips by 50, a design so tight that it was impossible to reproduce on an assembly line. According to Wozniak, Jobs told Wozniak that Atari had only given them $700 (instead of the actual $5,000) and that Wozniak's share was thus $350" that was the attitude of the man, but still is the genius that made possible things that we all need every day. Obama today said "here may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented" or stealed? but he did it, and we owe him, even if we paid huge money for those devices, making him and his company immensely rich, more than necessary. even if the company underpaid work (I worked for Apple, and I know about, but I mean Foxconn and so on), but all the companies do that. the man was not a saint, but a sinner, but still a genius. and life stole him around 30 years, so he paid for his sins. RIP Steve.
  10. Hi Vac I would like to know if this project is possible and to get a price. I have found this cheap quartz model: http://www.watcheden.net/tudor-sport-collection-working-chronograph-with-gray-dial-s-s-i-81179-p-1.html it's - as far as I know - the only existing replica of the Heritage Monte Carlo (a replica of an official replica eheh) I thought that by changing the bezel, putting a Daytona bezel, and changing the glass, putting a common Rolex glass with cyclop (is this the name of the lens over the date window?) we would get a look that quite well replicates the original Monte Carlo what do you think? possible, I think so. not so complicated too. I could provide both the quartz watch and the Daytona case with bezel and glass with cyclops. (even better, it would be to make a movement swap too. an asian 7750 with secs at 9. one subdial (the right one) would not be very correct, but .. not a big deal.) price for assembling? please let me know by PM. thanks! regards
  11. Hello fellow IWC enthusiasts.. I am chasing an IWC Portuguese Yachtclub rep and I can find that only on leather strap.. anyone knows if it is possible to find somewhere a rubber strap? was it already replicated?

  14. Hello I am trying to remove the crown link from a jap quartz movement (of a replica TAG Heuer) so that I can extract the movement and dial and make some mods on the face of the watch but I can't find where/what to push to free the crown link!! anyone can help??
  15. the story is true.. it happened just 140 km from where I am writing, in Genova (Genua, not Geneva).. I am pasting the text from the italian press agency (breaking news of 3 hours ago) it is actually a container of 150k fake "products" and "only" 28,000 watches, togheter with the machinery for straps and case markings of different brands --- La merce
  16. I was only joking, but it ACTUALLY is an automatic movement cell phone!!
  17. the winding rotor is to wind it, so you don't need a battery charger. movement is asian 21j, modified for sms and mms operation.
  18. just bought a Franck Muller Crazy Hours colordreams the watch arrived in reasonable time, they performed a nice "chinese box" trick for the customs.. the watch looks nice, considering the real low budget price (bought for 88 USD postage included) and working fine (with the strange crazy hour movement) everything is ok, not giving the impression of SUPERB build quality but all details ok (writings, markings, colors etc) the crown is not perfectly aligned when used for moving the hands.. this is a bit worrying but again.. it's a 88 $ watch, I am satisfied they are friendly (sarah)
  19. thank you very much for the suggestions.. I'm glad to know that the seconds hand is easily repairable.. since I am no expert (never opened a watch) and am not very good with tasks that need precision and patience, I think I will use the help of a watchsmith! it will get a nice strap then.. ;-)
  20. Hello I just bought this 292 "fake ceramic" PVD radiomir from a member of this forum, and it came to me with the major problem of a broken second hand also, the glass has some dents and a little scratch you can see here: I'd like suggestions.. to know if it is possible and worth repairing so far I think the options would be basic: open the watch, eliminate the second hand, and leave it like that - it's working good: open the watch, repair the second hand super: open the watch, repair the second hand, put a new sapphire with AR coating this was a 40 EUR / 50 USD buy.. I know this 292 is not one of the best reps (PVD instead of "fake ceramic") and it has an unconventional cheap asian automatic movement.. I'd like to understand what's worth to do with it.. I like the watch BTW.. and I don't mind it being asian auto, so I could even think about making it beautiful and with a nice strap.. I like PVD pam's a lot!
  21. Hello I am looking to upgrade my 111H with rubber strap with a deployant buckle.. so far I've found TrustyTime selling it, anyone knows other collectors selling that stuff? thanks!
