  1. Still sporting my franken SOH V2. Believe it or not, I have been wearing this for about two month now, and I still don't have to adjust the time... Weird. Even my gen Omega chronometers can't perform like that. The movement is an old service Rado 2824-2 movement I think.

  2. Guys,

So far I have only found one clasp that's comfy, but unfortunately it's on a SS bracelet. The bottom of the clasp is not as curved, so it doesn't dig into my wrist. Does anyone know if I can find a similar clasp for the rubber straps? I don't really care how close it is to the real thing, just need to be well made and comfy. Anyone? If you can post me a link, I'd appreciate it very much!

  3. Right. Well, these watches are pretty much as expensive as reps get, so they should be top quality.

I'm not sure if I agree or not. You should expect the quality to be great, but I don't think it's automatically guaranteed. The sec at 12 complications are not really reliable. I'm not sure having the movement serviced (another $200) would fix it or not. If can't be fixed, the running second hand at 12 will need to be frozen.

The diver has its own quality flaws. The inner rotating bezel is made out of plastic and so it could wear out pretty fast if using the bezel regularly. I have heard the stem for the crown rotates the bezel is also weak. It breaks easily. Good luck on finding any more parts. The caseback and case also have a small gap I'm not sure how to fix... These are just quality flaws, not including the inaccuracies.

  4. Today, I took my AP diver to the mall and had it tested for WR. It barely passes 40m test. Only thing I did after getting out the the box is tighten the caseback screws slightly and resized the bracelet. I guess this is not bad for everyday wearing. I think the WR can only improve if I silicone grease the gasket.

Now, I'm curious how well the WR is on the new Hublot King Diver since it has one-piece screw down caseback...
