  1. Happy Birthday samgher!

  2. Is that applies to the sandwich dial also? Wich is the correct color of the lume? Is it pure C1 pigment or a mix of C1+C3?
  3. I just bought a Pam111 with asian 6497 and swan neck regulator. The watch has black hour and minute hands and white second hand. I can not recognize if the original has silver or white small second hand. Could anybody help me?
  4. Who knows where can I buy hands for a Cousteau Divers 2006? I will need also a dial.
  5. Thanks to all. I bought the watch this morning and attached pictures when received.
  6. I found this watch in the web (Pam 111H Luminor Marina, asian 6497) and want your opinions about the quality. The cost is $128 so have it in mind. Here is the seller description: Top quality Asia Unitas 6497 Movement with Swan Neck, Manual Winding (17 Jewel) Smooth Sweeping Seconds Hand Solid 316 Stainless Steel Case High quality genuine Leather Strap Mineral crystal scratch durable glass face Water-Resistant Black Sandwich Dial with Brown Leather strap + Pre V Buckle Size:44 (mm) Here are some pictures: pam111_3.bmp pam111_1.bmp pam111_5.bmp pam111_4.bmp
  7. You were wright. The adjusting levers were out of adjustment because of handling. I decided to adjust by myself turning one of the levers clockwise, by trial and error. The isochronism now is +5 seconds per 24h in different positions (was -4 minutes before). I will find a watchsmith to check if all is ok (is very difficult to find a watchsmith in Peru).
  8. I recently bought my 2006 Cousteau Divers from bigbigwatch.com. The watch quality is great but dial lume is poor. I have ordered a superluminova set from RC Tritec and will receive the parcel within two weeks. I am planning to relume the dial but dont know if is recommendable to remove the hour markers from dial (scratching glueing points from behind if available). The markers could be inserted in solvent to remove the old lume, and there is no risk of scratching the dial. The difficult part will be placing the markers again. By the other hand, removing the old lume with markers in their place could result in total disaster, i mean loose markers, dial scratches, markers damage.... Suggestions will be appreciated.
  9. I bought a new ETA 7750 and replaced the asian of my SMP. The movement is loosing 4 minutes per day. I read other post about adjusting the asian 7750's but no information about original swiss ETA. The movement has a calibrating lever (marked with + and -) and the pointer is near the "-" mark. I know that this lever could be used to correct small deviations (seconds), but what happen it gains or looses several minutes per day?
  10. Thank you guys. I appreciate your opinions. Will inform about the quality of the movement when i receive it.
  11. I found this 7750 movement in Ebay, but i am not sure if it is original swiss made or is an asian copy. The seller says that is an original one (ETA-swiss made) but the item description indicates this hand sizes: second center hand 0,20mm, registers - chrono subdials 0,20mm (as asian copies). The ETA manufacturing specifications indicates 0,25mm for second center hand and 0,18mm for registers. I am attaching the following pictures: I will appreciate you opinions.
  12. I had bad experiences with asian movement clones, and that is the reason i want to assemble the watch by my own. Some seller offers watches with "swiss movements" but are really clones. The only way to be sure is to buy the parts separately (and less risk is involved for shipping).
  13. I am searching for a IWC Aquatimer Cousteau Divers case set (case + dial + hands) to assemble my own watch. I have a swiss ETA 7750 movement for my project. Offers or information about suppliers will be appreciated.
  14. Three months ago I bought an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45,5mm (UPO) with a 2824-2 clone (asian) movement. The hands (hour and minute) were bad positioned (hour hand not aligned with dial marking when minute hand is at 12:00 position). I opened the case and repositioned the hands at 12:00 perfectly synchronized with the date. Today i found that hands disaligned again. The hands are tightly inserted to the movement pins so there is no splipping posibility. I move the hands manually (by the crown) and found that the hour hand is positioned correctly (precise date change) but minute hand is 12 minutes in advance. I think that the movement has an internal problem that is causing that. Somebody had experienced a similar problem?
  15. Does anybody knows how to remove the helium escape valve (He) of a Omega Planet Ocean (UPO) 45,5mm? I bought the watch and opened the case back to check if waterproof. A big surprise inside!!! No gasket in caseback nor crowns. I search the entire internet to find generic gaskets without success. The case uses a non standard o-ring (40mm OD, cross section 1mm) and no references about the crown o-rings. I bought caseback gasket (original) from Ofrei and they told me that there are no available o-rings for Omega crowns because they sell the complete pieces (crown includes the gasket). I found an assortment of crown o-rings and i am trying to place them. It is a peace of cake to remove the stem (main crown), but dont know how to remove the crown of the helium escape valve (He). Any advises will be appreciatted!!!
