Dear all. I was wondering if Narikka/Reg is still around??? I have purchased from him before and wanted a new watch for my friend but can't find him on this forum??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. With best wishes, Jit
  3. I got one from Narika last year and it's lovely! I had a few issues which reg sorted out like a true gentleman! Not sure if it is a noob factory one though?? maybe PM Reg Jit.
  4. Thanks ASCIWhite. I need to save a few more pennies to get the version from Josh with the correct '10' bezel. Can't wait! Thanks again everyone! Best wishes, Jit
  5. Dear Marinamm20 and Plaifender, thank you very much for your advice. I think I'm going to save a bit more money and pull the trigger on this one with the correct '10' spacing bezel. I take it you guys have had to adjust the bracelet or remove links to get a good sizing? Did you have any problems with this or was it straight forward, I have small screw drivers to remove links as i had to remove a few on the noobmariner I got from Josh last year. Again many thanks guys, what a great community this is!!!!!! Best wishes, Jit
  6. Thanks Toadtorrent for your reply. I'm concerned about the attention but also about it simply looking too big on my wrist. it's the width of the DSSD that concerns me, I'm just worried that it will look like a hockey puck sitting on my wrist! Have any other members with similar wrist size to mine purchased a DSSD? What are your thoughts or experiences to the size of this beast and how it sits on your wrist? I may go into an AD and try one on before I pull the trigger. Again thanks in advance for any advice, thoughts etc. Best wishes, Jit.
  7. Hi all! I don't regularly post on here (more of a silent member who reads up on as much as possible!). I've been thinking of getting the DSSD from Josh for some time now as it seems to be the best one out there at present. My only problem is that I have small wrists (only 7 inches). Will the DSSD look too big and bulky and bring too much attention due to my rubbish small wrists!?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes to all and happy Friday. Jit. DSSD will
  8. Dear members. I have a beginmariner from Josh at PC. I have had the watch since January this year and have had no problems with it to date. During the last week I have noticed that it stops running every no and then. I wind the watch every Sunday (about 25-30 winds) Does anybody know why this problem is happening or what I can do. I wear the watch everyday and even at night so the watch does get movement from my wrist on a daily/regular basis. On another note I am considering buying a V5 DSSD from ET and was wondering if anyone has encountered the problem I have with my beginmariner on the ET DSSD? Any help would be most appreciated. Many thanks and best wishes, Jit.
  9. Hi all, hope everyone had a great weekend. I have a beginmariner from Josh and was wondering how I go about removing a link as I have small wrists. I don't want to remove the links that have screws but want to remove one of the solid links, is this possible? I would be most greatful for any advice (I have looked around on the site for info on this but am at a loss. Many thanks and best wishes, Jit.
  10. Hi Gio! Thank you for a great review of this most wonderful watch. I have just checked on the Eurotimez site and the new pictures have not yet been updated. Just one quick question - does this DSSD have the Rolex crown engraved/etched at the six o'clock marker? Many thanks Gio and again, a great review, can't wait to get myself one of these, payday is on Friday!!!!!!!! Best wishes, Jit
  11. Thanks for the reply chubbchubb. Who stocks these? Best wishes, Jit
  12. Hi All. I pulled the trigger a while back and got a noobmariner from Josh and then went on to get a daytona with seconds at six (both of which I am very happy with) I have been closely following all posts on the deep sea sea dweller (in particular Lani's post but not sure where he purchased it from???) and am wanting to pull the trigger on this beast! Who would people suggest has the best one in at the moment? I've noticed that there are many different versions (V2, V3) and many trusted dealers offering the DSSD (Josh, Andrew etal) Does anyone know if WM9 is planning to release the DSSD? Do I wait until somebody releases the latest version and if so who? and when? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks everyone Jit.
  13. Hi all on RWG. I have been lurking around for some months now and have learnt so much from you all. I finally decided to take the plunge and ordered a beginmariner from Josh at PC. I received a great service from Josh during the waiting time and afterwards. I'm real happy with the watch However there are a few mods that I feel need to be made which I list below: * The almost invisible crown at the 6pm marker does not sit bang on the minute marker between 'swiss' and 'made' (the glass needs moving anti clockwise to the left about 1 milimetre) *The date wheel is not centered and the date is not bang in the centre but sits high and slightly to the right if this makes sense. I think a new date wheel may be needed? *It's noisy, I don't mind the ticking but sometimes you can hear a whiring sound if my hand suddenly jerks! Are there any UK based modders that could help me or any EU based modders that can help resolve these issues? Thanking you in advance for any advice and support. Best wishes, Jit
  14. Thanks for that b16a2. I have changed the time so let's hope it changes over at midnight. I have also noticed that the rolex crown that is etched on the glass at the six pm position does not sit bang on the six pm position but everso slightly to the left of it (I'm sure it should sit directly square underneath) Is there anyway that the bezel can be taken off and the glass everso slightly moved to the right? Can this be adjusted by myself and how? Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it successfully??? Can any experts help out?? Best wishes, Jit
  15. Hi RWG. I am now the proud owner of my first rep!!! Got home to find a lovely 'gift' from Josh. Took me about 15 mins to get it out of the box as Josh had secured it in lots of bubble wrap! I followed all the instructions : Wind the watch about 15-20 times Set the time Set the date I had to remove two links but other than that I think it is spot on. I think I will smooth the bracelet edges as they are sharp and also oil the bracelet as it is slightly stiff but has loosened somewaht since last night. My only point is that it is noisy in that sometimes when I move my hand I can hear the movement and then I can hear the winding mechanism wind a little, is this normal? Also the date never changed at midnight? Is there a special way to set the date so it changes on its own? Thanks in advance for any advice (I will post pics when I get my camera back at the weekend) Best wishes, Jit
