  1. Just wondering if any of the Sydney based guys here would be interested in attending a get together here in Sydney. If you are interested shoot me a PM with your preferred dates and location and we'll see what happens.

    Thanks

  2. My 196 ran perfectly for a year. The problem with it now is that the hour sub dial @ 6 just keeps running. It's not a big issue I just keep resetting it.

The funny thing is that I got pulled up by a so called Panerai expert who commented that it was a common problem with Panerai chronos. I actually had to convince him it was a rep. He was mortified at the quality of it.

  3. Gran, I'm another who wouldn't normally want an explanation of your past actions but I think if you want to clear the air you should really be honest with us and lay your cards on the table.

The machinations over at the old RWG always puzzled me. Personally, I’d like to know what happened and why.

Anyway, it’s good to see you’re feeling better and welcome aboard.

  4. @ Canuck88, you've taken my old RWG1 avatar; well you know they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… I’m not sure is Rolex would agree with that though…

I’ve purchased from Eddie a couple of times and he is an awesome dealer.

@ Kenberg, I’m still lurking but Canuck88 is definitely not me.

  5. Hi The Zigmeister,

I remember reading your article/photos about the 7750 back at the old place and noticed that there was a plastic clutch type of thing (excuse my lack of technical knowledge) that kept the sub dials from running unless the chrono is activated.

Anyway the hour subdial keeps running on my 196 (May '05) even though the chrono isn't activated. Is there anything I can do to fix it.

    Thanks.
