Good to see that they got rid of the plastic spacer around the movement.

The crown looked a little on the small side.......

Rudi,
Nice watch but it appears the hour sub dial is continually running. I've got the same problem on my 196

I've got the same problem with 6 o'clock sub dial, see the thread below.
... and no it shouldn't run all the time.

Am now really curious about the spacer on the original...
I was considering getting one myself but I'm really concerned about the spacer quality keeping the ultra reliable asian 7750b1 in place!! Seriously it has a solid case back.

Great pics of an awesome watch. Nice combo with the strap... wear it well.

On wrists, typically on the left wrist...

Just wondering if any of the Sydney based guys here would be interested in attending a get together here in Sydney. If you are interested shoot me a PM with your preferred dates and location and we'll see what happens.
Thanks

I've dealt with Eddie a few times now and he is a great dealer.

I'm pretty sure that the case, bezel and CG should all be brushed stainless.

My 196 ran perfectly for a year. The problem with it now is that the hour sub dial @ 6 just keeps running. It's not a big issue I just keep resetting it.
The funny thing is that I got pulled up by a so called Panerai expert who commented that it was a common problem with Panerai chronos. I actually had to convince him it was a rep. He was mortified at the quality of it.

Hi Elliott, why don't you send Ven12 a PM......

Gran, I'm another who wouldn't normally want an explanation of your past actions but I think if you want to clear the air you should really be honest with us and lay your cards on the table.
The machinations over at the old RWG always puzzled me. Personally, I’d like to know what happened and why.
Anyway, it’s good to see you’re feeling better and welcome aboard.

Looks great

Thanks The Zigmeister,
I think I'll just keep resetting it every 1/2 hour. The risk of wrecking an otherwise perfectly good watch are way to high.

@ Canuck88, you've taken my old RWG1 avatar; well you know they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… I’m not sure is Rolex would agree with that though…
I’ve purchased from Eddie a couple of times and he is an awesome dealer.
@ Kenberg, I’m still lurking but Canuck88 is definitely not me.

Hi The Zigmeister,
I remember reading your article/photos about the 7750 back at the old place and noticed that there was a plastic clutch type of thing (excuse my lack of technical knowledge) that kept the sub dials from running unless the chrono is activated.
Anyway the hour subdial keeps running on my 196 (May '05) even though the chrono isn't activated. Is there anything I can do to fix it.
Thanks.
