  1. I'd love to know how you made it, the piece is brilliant!
  2. I am looking for a: - 20mm black kevlar - 20mm black kevlar with white stitch. I know they are not real kevlar. I am looking for straps without the leather backing since I am allergic to formaldehyde.
  3. Can anyone assist in telling me what to look for? Numbers, etc... I know the bracelet is 93150 but don't know if clasps are specific to bracelets.
  4. Thanks Dizzy! I earmarked a couple crystals he is selling. Think I'll keep hunting.
  5. I find no problem with mine. I dont need my watch to have gen parts for the sake of it. How much of an improvement is an eta date wheel? What do they go for and do day and date wheels come together?
  6. Are there multiple bracelets that the gen 1665 came with?
  7. Highly doubt it. What is the movt on the watch? I've asked about the Lemania 5100 movt. Not enough people buy the gen to produce the rep. You never know, I was suprised to see Sinn rep'd. They only produce reps where they think they can sell enough to make money.
  8. Getting a 1665 and am researching parts and sellers for mods. I have heard people talk about Watchadoo. All help is appreciated.
  9. Now when the watch arrives I'll have to find and organize all my threads! What will adding a gen tube and crown do for the function of the watch? Or is it cosmetic? Can someone point me to a how to for CG shaving? Especially what is involved (removal of movt, etc...) I think a new Crystal (I wrote down somewhere the kind to get-Seen a gen for under $100 and generic for under $40, spring bars (I guess you have to buy the seller and hope he is honest about them), where beside flea bay is a good place to buy spring bars? I'll look into drilling the lug holes (why would I want to do this again? Thanks for the great advice and direction everyone.
  10. I have no watch skins to speak of but am thinking about getting an inexpensive watch to tinker with, maybe to learn on as to not destroy a nice rep. I have few tools but just wanted to hear from more established members.
  11. I havent bought a rep in a while (been buying gens). I did the research and finally pulled the trigger. This is only the second rep purchased from a "large" dealer, most of my reps have been sourced and a couple bought from fellow members. I all my research I have picked it apart and looked into modding and hope I havent set my hopes up to high. I'm pretty easy to satisfy but when you discuss over and over the details of a watch, well you know. Mat the slow boat from China sprout wings and a twin turbocharger!
  12. I know the sticky ball isn't the best thing to use but if one wears a watch as a jewelry.piece and doesnt go anywhere near water isn't it suffice? How possible is it to over tighten the caseback?
  13. Dizz, what do you do, buy individual links from the bay to build a bracelet?
  14. How hard is it to swap a 7750? Is that for a clean and properly serviced? If the movt is round $115 for another $85 someone will tear down a 7750 and lube her up and put the dial, hands, etc... back together. An interesting situation.
  15. Love to buy another rep but I should service my Slevin to ensure a long healthy life. I heard no one sells the 3719 Slevin on a bracelet anymore. It's becoming a collector's item? This is a big reason to service a movt instead of just buying a need one.
  16. I used the sticky ball on my DSSD, Bolivar, and Turn-O-Graph. Worked perfectly.
  17. Doesn't the slow beat movement and datewheel come with the PT great white?
  18. What is wrong with the PT dial? Sorry, I must of blacked out. I just read your post again.
  19. About to pull the trigger early next week and was curious about how the bracelet is. What's the difference between the gen? Are the numbers correct? I'm kinda picky with my bracelets.
  20. I've read the rep one isnt up to snuff. What should I look for in an aftermarket date wheel for a 1665?

  22. I forget where I read it but it used a $1k watch (cost of production and parts) and showed how it can become a $5k watch. Interesting read, now where did I put it?
