  1. You should just make him feel bad and tell him not to worry about the card. Just change your whole attitude and be like 'Ok man that's fine, you just seemed so nice I figured there was no way you were a scammer. But that's cool man good luck with your life... Try not to scam anyone else.' This messes with his head and makes him feel bad(it should anyway if he's human because immediately after realizing you've just accepted it but you see right through him he should feel bad for what he did) Then just let it go. If he contacts you to offer him the card just explain that it's not even that but you just thought people had more pride than that. Tell him you're not even worried about the $15 and emphasize how lame the worry of 15$ is (even if you don't feel it is this makes him feel like he ruined a reputation for nothing).. Lol if you don't like my advice just ignore it but nice watch anyway ;-)

  2. Ok, I'm probably going to get shot down for this. But I've been searching and reading all morning and I can't figure out who TTK is or how to buy from him? I would love one of the noobmariners as my first 'real' rep (first one was a nice daytona from Canal Street but it's probably bad compared to what I've seen here) but I was looking around trying to find this TTK person or the website that you buy from them from or something and can't seem to find anything? I apologize for my ignorance and hope someone can give me a real answer of how to buy from TTK?

    Thanks,

    Alex

  3. Hey, Are you biting on my style "spider87"? I'm the only "Spidey7" around these parts!:angry::angry: ( :p )

We'll see about that! haha I've had this name since I was 11 (because you had to be 13 to sign up for websites so when I put 1987 as my DOB I was naive enough to believe someone actually cared about that lol so I made sure my name had an 87 at the end so they had no reason to be suspicious lol

  4. most probably its a quartz rep with calendar subdials

    does it look like this?

    or

    replicarolexdaytonamp5.jpg

again for a sure tell you need to take some pics, you dont actually need macro, just a non-blurry shot from distance is enough

lol Ok sorry it took so long for the pics the process is not a fun one (video cam to mini-dv, mini-dv to iMovieHD, iMovieHD to Save Frame, Saved Frame to Email, Email to computer, Computer to upload here haha) but this is a closeup of the face of the watch:

  5. I'm trying to figure out how to take good pics with my Curve but it isn't working out so well :-\ no macro lens I'm also trying to figure something else out to take pics with but only thing I can think is to take a few stills with my video cam. Probably the best I"ll give that a shot. :-)

Also, to note a few flaws with the watch I failed to put in the first post:

There is a scratch or 2 on the face above the top left dial.

The white bits in the middle of the numbers are a bit off center(in a few cases)

And I might just not know how to work them but the 3 smaller dials don't do anything(yet??) Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated

Anyone have any input on this?

  6. can you post some pics

  7. Howdy guys I just figured I'd tell you my story of my replica purchase. It was actually on Canal Street I was walking along looking at the watches in the cases (with my friend who is huge haha I'm not a tall guy(not a midget but I'm only 5'11 or so as compared to my friend who is about 6'3))

We walked up to this one case and there was a guy next to it he said 'You wanna buy a watch?' I'm like 'I was hoping to' (I was looking for a fake mind you) he said 'What kind, like like Rolex?'

    I'm like 'Sure'

He says 'White or Black?' (I'm still not 100% sure what this meant but I believe it was probably race probably his way of saying style to fit white man or black man which is ok in my mind at the time though I figured it meant either faces or metals so I said white (to get a stainless or equivalent).

He pulls one of out his pocket and slaps it on my wrist before I knew what was going on haha. He said '$150' I'm like 'oooh crap I only have $40!' and started taking it off he's like "NO NO KEEP THE WATCH ON!" and said "Hmmm.. GIME THE MONEY!" and

I gave him my $40 and now I have this beautiful Daytona model rolex replica that has been keeping great time. It features the automatic movement and is almost indistinguishable from a real daytona. I took it to my jeweler's and he said everything seems 100% except of course the movement isn't a real rolex movement but he said it's still an expensive piece.

My question out of all of this is. Where did the guy on canal street get a watch that he could justify selling for $40? I can't find anything priced below $100 in the Daytona line?
