  1. Hey Ammandel, absolutely stunning! Two quick questions if you don't mind.. a) How thick is your wrist? b ) How thick is the watch? I've been "lurking around the bush" for this one for a while but I'm afraid it is going to be a little too big for me. The smaller Portofino without the chrono would be great for my wrist size (6.8" / 17.3cm) but apparently there are no reps of that one available..
  2. Really great pictures man! ..and watches of course
  3. Hi, Has anyone tried any of the JLC reversos from WatchEden? http://www.watcheden.com/search-products--...n--1--0--1.html What do you think of them? (Besides the porno / erotic decoration on the flipside on most of them) I swore I would not get a(nother) Quartz watch.. but I just gotta have a Reverso and there does not seem to be any (?) mechanical ones out there on the Rep market. If you do know of some decent mechanical ones, please let me know.
  4. Not much about Junghans on this forum. I don't know much about the brand but I must say I like the minimalistic look. I wouldn't mind strolling around with this on my arm.. http://www.nova68.com/Merchant2/merchant.m...;Category_Code= A couple of different models on the site.. I think the plain one is even nicer: http://www.nova68.com/Merchant2/merchant.m...;Category_Code= Anyone seen reps of Junghans watches somewhere?
  5. Hi everyone, Anyone seen a rep of this? https://www.jurawatches.co.uk/watch.asp?productid=1561 Actually, the Gen is not that expensive (
  6. Ha ha.. those who live shall see (good old USSR humour). At least I hope I won't start hanging out at the gym trying to get my wrists to grow just to be able to wear a watch I've spotted.. Anyway, thank's everyone for the warm welcome! I've learned so much already. Now just waiting to complete my first purchase.
  7. Thank's for the greetings! He he... the JLC incredibly classy style and fabulous craftmanship in general is what started the fire. However, they do not seem to be too popular on the rep market. But I have decided for a Master Control in SS -but the rep's gotta have the blue hand for seconds. Also, a good looking classic reverso would be sweet! But the Master Control is THE watch for me right now! I also like the style of some IWC's. In general, the cleaner the dial, the better. Also, I have skinny wrists so that limits the selection a bit. It would just look plain stupid if I was wearing a "big bang 48mm mega watch". And I'm not the sporty type either. A divers watch? -forget about it! (even though I've seen a few nice ones.. One from IWC is fantastic)
  8. Yep... just got sucked right into it. Very very fast too. My story: A couple of days ago I suddenly realised that I would like to own a nice wrist watch. I've never been into watches before but the thing is that I'm up for promotion at work and feel I ought to upgrade my wardrobe and style in general a bit. Might seem silly to some of you, but hey -that's the way the corporate game is played.. As I did not know much about what was out there I started browsing and soon found myself diving deeper and deeper into the universe of wrist watches. I quickly found that there are some incredibly beutiful objects out there. However, as with most desirables, I more or less immediately realised that the gap between my "beer budget" and my "champagne taste" is unrealistically wide. If I'm going to wear a wrist watch, I'm thinking to myself -it has to be a really nice one. It has to be something that underlines my personality and fits with the image of who I want to come across as in this world. In my case: clean, understated elegance. And I don't have to tell you, fellow watchoholics, that this sort of thing costs. If I can't afford to wear what I want, I might as well use my mobile phone for time keeping.. Not many clicks later, I have plunged deep into the world of rep's. Woooow! After reading on this forum (and a couple of others) non-stop for 3-4 days I am amazed. Also, I have found almost exactly what I'm looking for and am on my way to be in possession of my first replica soon -thank's to one of the providers (I don't like to call them "dealers"..) on this forum. And yes, if I ever will be able to afford it I will buy the real thing. In the meantime a nice rep (or a couple -if the experience is positive) will be a lot of fun too. The bug is on me. I am hoping it won't bite too hard but rather live peacefully in symbiosis with my other hobbies: collecting reggae music on vinyl, and fishing. At the moment I'm reading up, but eventually I'm hoping to contribute to the forum! Have a good day! Snackers! And... If you see some well made, clean and clutterless, JLC's out there -I'm interested.
