  1. Good day gents! I have recently purchased a GMT Master II Red/Blue 16710 from Precious time. I love the watch, but unfortunately the stock bracelet is too small and the price for a couple links from him is a bit much for me at the moment. So I was wondering if any of you had a couple to spare. If anyone has a couple for sale I would love to take them off your hands, just let me know how much you want to have them shipped to Detroit. Much appreciated!
  2. My bank account will answer that for you; Rep!
  3. Happy new years all! If any of you gents could be kind enough to let me know where I could get a decent rolex pepsi with a white dial, it would certainly be appreciated. Please excuse the lack of any sort of official reference: I am new to Rolex. Cheers!
  4. Yes, the ETA fits in that watch.
  5. From what Whitestripes said, that looks to be the 1:1 version. You can tell from the 7 marker an that the second hand does not reach to the end of the minute markers. A great rep nonetheless! Do you remember which movement it came with?
  6. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info!
  7. Hello IWC fans! I have been a huge fan of the XVI for some time, and along with other members here I'm sure, would like to know what the differences between the different versions are exactly. To my knowledge, there are 3 versions so far; -The first, being the worst, uses a case make for the XV which is too thick. It uses a swiss movement, has an enormously bulbous crown, short second hand, and is just way off. -The second is a 1:1 version, which uses a A2892, and has a slightly short second hand. But correct case shape and better crown. -And the third version(V2) is the best, again with an A2892, correct case shape and correct second hand length. So is the only difference between the 1:1 version and the V2 the second hand length? Or are there other issues resolved as well? Hopefully someone with some more knowledge can expound upon this.. And if anyone has pictures of the different versions, that would be great as well. Regards
  8. I've seen the nice Breguet on the sales forum, which unfortunately just sold. So I'll be keeping my eyes open for another like that!
  9. Great watches gents! I myself prefer a round dial.. The Hublot's are very interesting. I'll check out the different dealer's for one.
  10. Hello all, I am interested in adding a watch with a flying tourbillon to my collection. If anyone could direct me to more information about the top models or some reviews, it would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone is thinking of getting rid of one, pm me! Thanks in advance.
  11. I used to frequent this site to buy/sell some fantastic reps. But today when I tried to upgrade my membership to sell a watch that I've gotten tired of, I had to go through payza. What happened to paypal?? I do not enjoy the process of giving my credit card info to another online payment site, especially when they make errors verifying my credit card! So now they blocked my credit card and I have no way of freeing some funds by selling my watch. Is there any way i can pay for membership with paypal still? Someone help!
  12. The stem broke off so I can't set the time anymore. But I mean reliability in the long run, Asian movements don't compare to Asian ones right?
  13. I have a newer version XVI, and my only problem with it is the Asian movement. Has anyone been able to fit a Swiss movement inside one? And if so, how much did it cost? As well as if the case needed any modding. Having a reliable Swiss movement just makes all the difference for me.
  14. Would you be able to post some pics of your dials Nick?
  15. You all certainly know what your talking about.. But does anyone know where I can find one??
  16. The photo's I attached were of a gen 1968 7016/0 for sale at the bay. So it looks like I'll have to keep my eyes open on there.
  17. Good day Rolex and Tudor experts! I wish to draw on your vast knowledge of mechanical timepieces, as there is a 7016/0 Tudor sub in need of a new dial. The perfect dial combination would be a non-date Tudor shield with Mercedes hands as seen in the attached photos. Though I realize a perfect specimen like that only comes with a gen price tag, I would be willing to accept that, depending on the price and if it could be sourced. But I am curious to know if a rep dial could be made to look like that one, with the nice faded vintage lume. So if anyone could let me know where I could find one of these dials, gen or rep, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
  18. I've seen the one phong sells for 950. Is that the only place to find a rep Tudor 7016?
  19. Am I the only one who finds lume on the 12, 3 and 6 hour markers distasteful? Or is that common for vintage tritium?
  20. The XVI with the swiss movement is the bad version. The minute hand is too short, case is too thick, and crown is much too big. The newer correct XVI has an asian movement also, so take that into consideration.
  21. Well that certainly helps. Do you know where I may order one from?
  22. Good day fellow members, I'm hoping to get some advice. A few months ago I purchased a rep XVI from the sales thread. It has worked flawlessly, is a beautiful watch and I enjoyed wearing it very much. A couple of my friends were very taken with it also, arguing who would get it had something happened to me. But just recently, the stem broke on it while I was adjusting the date. It always did seem a bit flimsy, but I figured that was just the lower quality of asian movements. The watch still runs if I shake it for a bit so I know the movement is fine, but the crown just spins freely. When I brought it to a local watch repair facility, he said he could not fix it and did not know where to order the parts. So I'm wondering if you guys could give me some ideas of what to do. Should I just cut my losses and sell it? Try to order another stem? Find a new repair guy? And If I were to sell it, what do you think would be a fair price taking into account the defect? Many thanks, -Denis.
