I would like to see your qc pics as the rehaut does look good in mine but pics can be made to say whatever you want them to!

I'm fully aware it is not 1:1 but called it to identify the watch we are talking about. I'm curious how bad it is so I will take a hit for the team!

I have taken the plunge on this watch as I have some gen parts on hand such as a crystal(may or may not fit), gen insert and gen crown and I received some nice looking QC pics from Joshua yesterday. I asked him for the updated model and to choose one with good CG's which he looks to have done. The crown also looks smaller and more gen like in the pics but we shall see when it arrives next week. I will do a full teardown of the watch. I have owned 3 gen 16600's so know what to look for. I'm not going to show the QC pics here but rather wait until it is here in the flesh. Has anyone received this update yet??!!!

Had not noticed this was in the Panerai section!!! whoops. Dont care at all about them. Gen pams are overpriced and under satisfying so dont really care! I dont understand the fascination with them at all!!

Green ceramic sub with 3135 clone is coming first I've heard.

I agree. THe Yachtie is the least popular Sports model Rolex have made!! I always struggle to sell the gen watch if I get one. It's time China got in line with it's buying public! Can't imagine how much money they must waste on unpopular creations!

one other flaw I notice in QC pic is 93250 stamped on the bracelet end link. Should it not read 93160.

WM9 SD pics! This is the gen they reckoned to buy to do the replication! The rehaut looks very good in QC pics. Bracelet aside this is a reasonable effort to be honest and very workable. Actually I have just looked at the pic and the CG's do look very stubby! I would ask for better pics to be sure!

I have ordered one. If I get QC pics I'll post them. I already have a gen SD insert and crown and a bracelet with better SEL's so it will make a decent daily beater if nothing else!

The last pics I looked at from toro did not show an updated version so we shall see what you get from each of them! Good on you for being a guinea pig.

That end link looks near perfect with a nicely recessed shape showing enough of the lug ends! Great work!!!!!

The WM10 comment is referring to the now ceased WM9(watchmaker9) from Taiwan and wondering if this is where WM9 left off I guess. You say the case came from HK, looking at the case it shouts Taiwan made rather than mainland China. There were connections of sorts between George(WM9) and the Noob factory so it could be something on the horizon and maybe from the same factory that WM9's came out of in the good old days. I think this thread needs pinning admin as it's a big development for the Sub fans!

Yeah the bezel is below par yet again. Why do they never get the teeth good! The case is great apart from the rehaut engraving. Puzzled as to why they overcomplicate the process of coying the case by wanting to add this feature as many would never want it and also many do not like it on gen Rolex either! me included!! Great work TC so get ready to sell many of these!! I have a suspicion though that we will see completed watches soon using this case and the updated 2nd generatoin of the 3135 so called clone movement!

I have a v serial 16610 with ar on the cyclops. It seems to be something that Rolex introduced on the v and random serial subs. It has a slight blue colour at certain angles. This case does look interesting but is the bezel as good as the rest I wonder.

I have never liked white dial Rolex sports models. I always prefer black with steel. I will buy a white one if they get the hands wrong on the black dial version. Neither are perfect but can be fine tuned with a little flattening of the CG's plus opening out slightly and polishing better.

I will order when the black dial is available. I doubt they will do a better version this year! If at all.

There is another post about this watch further down but it does look improved and hopefully a good black dial version will appear very soon for me with good hands etc.

Only other issue i see is the bezel numbers. They need to be slightly bigger or maybe bolder and nearer to the crystal along with the markers.

I had the 1st series and the bracelet width is bigger than 20mm.

Course it is brass.....! Why would you think it wood?!
