  1. Mercedes Brabus supercharged e500, 480bhp, 10mpg, Opec is a cruel mistress.
  2. If you ignore the screws in the strap, it is as good I think, if you have worn the gen you know the look and feel of these SMP's, this rep has that quality about it, from all angles on the wrist it looks good. Out of the box it is very good, the dial and case back are 100%, even has the tiny serial numbers on the reverse lug, I have a gen braclet for it so with that on, perfect!
  3. purchased a NOS leather Bund strap for my 1665, really like this strap, easy to wear and a nice change from Nato, gives the watch a really tool look and sure makes it sit proud from the wrist
  4. Got my seamaster 007 from Precious time and WOW this thing is close!, have a gen SMP and this 007 looks and feels right, superb quality.
  5. Hi, had this problem with a pam111 same movement, let it unwind, then alter the time anticlock wise for approx 6/7 full 24hr rotations, worked for me, hope this helps.
  6. My modded 1665 on leather Nato, took me a long time to find a leather/officers Nato, think it suits the 1665, leather is very thin and comfortable. opinions?
  7. I sure enjoy the midnight melody my eta's play when sitting on my desk, anyone else get a kick out of this midnight date change, have 8 various eta rollies sitting here and they all seem to go click within about 15 seconds of each other, sounds very cool!! I gotta get out more!!!
  8. Fought with it, loved it, hated it, walked away, came back, does it never end!
  9. Hi, yep 14kt gmt from precious time, I suppose I would be better of popping the pearl out of the sea dweller, just bugs me anyway!
  10. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i39/geor.../Picture158.jpg some more pic, point taken on the insert, could not find an acrylic pearl so used later one, tropic 19 was all I had at the time , looks ok on the watch though.
  11. If like me and many others you have had problems removing the crown stem on an eta2836, the problem being the keyless works collapsing on removal of the stem, even when you use the correct tool to fit the t- bar release button it can sometimes not go back in properly, I now use this method instead. Remove case back as normal and with movement retaining ring still in place unscrew the crown and use a pair of precision pliers with pointed ends to grip the stem inside the case, not too much pressure is needed as to damage the stem you just want to stop it turning then just unscrew the crown from the stem, every one I have tried has unscrewed fairly easily, then remove movement retaining ring and movement slips from case no problem, no worries about keyless works etc, on re-assembly just screw crown back onto stem and hand tighten. hope this helps as I know this is a nightmare problem with eta's after many hours modding only to fall at the last hurdle.
  12. Sea dweller is fully modded, eta2836 serviced, gen crown and tube, gen aged insert, it has a beautiful grey/blue colour, hollow link sea dweller bracelet, tropic 19, light ageing to dial markers etc, case polished/rounded. will try to post some better pics
  13. Just received my new GMT master ruby/diamond from Precious time, a superb dealer and a superb watch, am a vintage nut so this was my first depature into modern reps and I must say I am blown away with this, the date font alignment and mag are spot on and the dial is SUPERB, watch has a feel of quality to it with regards to weight and apperance, does not look to me as if it needs any mods at all (damn) and looks, dare I say it "real" looks like no more vintages for me!!
